Replaced Screen on iPod 4th Gen Now Wont Boot

Recommended Posts

I replaced the screen on an iPod touch 4th Gen and now it wont boot up. It booted up once and was working for a minute but then it white screened and now it just constantly blinks the apple logo on and off. The PC wont recognise the iPod either so I cant do a DFU.

Anyone know if its screwed or can I recover from the blinking apple logo?

I just spent ?30 on this new screen so I guess im out of pocket?

Thanks for any help.

Sounds like you've shorted something out or broken a connection somewhere, open it up and make sure everthings where it should be.

Or if you bought it broken off ebay or somewhere and got a screen to replace it, sounds like it was more than just a broken screen problem.

Could be a problem such as the contacts on the connector shorting out or touching the metal (ground) case.
