A massive whale shark that may be among the largest fish ever caught, was pulled from the water off Pakistan yesterday.

The giant fish wasn't actually caught as much as it was pulled from the water by Karachi fisherman after being spotted dead in the Arabian Sea.

An exact measurement hasn't been given, but all estimates put it at around 40 feet (about the size of school bus), while largest confirmed whale shark on record was over 41 feet and weighed more than 47,000 pounds.

Crowds overwhelmed the Karachi docks hoping to see the massive fish before it was auctioned for several thousand dollars.

It was already dead floating in the sea... They didn't kill it as far as I can tell.

According to the BBC story it was found dead: http://www.bbc.co.uk...d-asia-16940149

Did you two read the article that Hum posted? It mentions that exact detail...

Regardless of whether it is harmful to us or not, it's things like this that are the reason I don't enjoy going in to the sea...

I didn't as I'd only just read the BBC article. I was responding to an earlier post from someone saying that the fishermen shouldn't have killed it. A post that seems to have disappeared...

you have a point, even though its a gentle giant when youre swimming and you see a large shark like that you probably wouldnt even think twice about swimming away let alone swim along side it. In documentaries they look amazing though.

I wonder how did it die though.

    • I just wish they would put more love into Virtual Desktops. There is just so much more they could do.
    • Sounds like you just skimmed over the review, I answer all those questions in it. Although I admit I did not test if DTS works over the headphones, when I get some time I will test this. My personal use case is more speaker-driven (I cover this in the review too).
    • It actually does the same exact thing as yours, 7.1 virtual surround over headphones. From the product page: "Experience sound that surrounds you with 7.1 virtual surround, delivering a wider, more immersive soundstage for movies, games, and music." So both of them are two channel, with 7.1 virtual surround that only work in Headphones mode.
