SSD Purchase - Advice needed please

1) Yes

2) I have had some OCZs have issues. Corsair Force GTs I have several and no issues whatsoever and super fast.

3) No, if you don't have an SSD. It will detect the SSD when installed and enable trim.

Video ?? - I would have to see your computer go from off to desktop in less than 3 seconds, otherwise Im calling BS

I think it's doable. I have 3 USB 3.0 externals that have to initialize on boot; even with that I login and have desktop ready in 7 seconds.

Core i7 2600

32GB DDR3

Corsair Force GT 120

You shouldn't judge a company when they admit a mistake and recall the product, obviously just updating the firmware was not an option otherwise they would have done that.

lol Admit the mistake? I never said they admitted anything. I found out that there was a recall because of someone reviewing the product on Newegg. And yes, when I spend that kind of money on a product known to be defective and the company won't even openly admit to issues or make any attempt to fix them, instead making the entire line disappear and releasing a new one, I'm going to judge the company. Their new drives may be absolutely fantastic and super reliable, but I'll never know. I'll stick to Samsung till they fail me and then try another brand.

For those that are saying sub-8 second boots from hitting power button to usable desktop - without vids - its BS.

Kelxin - I know how fast the new SSD are - I have 1 in my desktop & one in my laptop - And 24GB RAM and all other kinds of "fast" stuff.

I am saying - I need to see a video of these insanely fast boots believe it - otherwise - you're full of sh*t, too.

7 seconds ? maybe....3 seconds - BULLSH*T
