Already got the server version up and running in VMware ... God I hate how they force you to hit ctrl-alt-delete by default

*All* NT-based OSes used to be like that (client and server) - the change on the clients didn't take place until 2000 Professional (and that meant no login screen at all). (Can you say "insecure"?)

That's actually one thing i like about Windows 8 - it forces users to actually pay attention to security!

This version is serialized. So even if you download it, you still need a serial number. Interesting, that's a different ISO than what I'm getting from technet.

Your right the ISO's are different between the public version and the technet version. I wonder what is different

Indeed it is - IDM is cranking away at 2 MB/second (Comcast Xfinity Performance Internet via ARRIS WBM-760A). Should be all done in less than 30 minutes barring snags/slowdowns.
