I understood what he said but I found it difficult. And I had to really pay attention to what he was saying.

I find it surprising that he argued with himself like that. Even if you don't recognize your own voice, you should at least remember what you said. I guess people don't pay attention when they're angry.

For a continent that has some really strange accents when talking English, you guys really do struggle with British people speaking their own language :p

It's like on American TV when they subtitle someone from Yorkshire who the tiniest of tiny accents.

Regarding the video (and the soundboard one posted later) they're terrible. I think the kid in the first video is in the demographic they're hoping to reach.

The main issue I find with the UK/US is either THICK accent (liverpool?), or pace, most often pace. Us Scots speak incredibly fast, sometimes too fast for ourselves :p

I never have an issue with the American accent (or I should say dialect). Unless you go crazy southern or something, the slower pace of the American accent enables me to make out everything fine!

Yea, I don't think I've ever heard an American / Canadian accent that I couldn't understand.

The other way around? not so much. They seem to grasp posh southerner and cockney but not much else.
