Apple's Mac vs. PC ads were childish, but they at least did (inaccurate) comparisons and didn't insult the target audience.

Instead they buy products based on the actual value of the product and what it can do, as it should be, unlike huge number of Apple fanbase. And the whole "fanboy" war was started and continuously flamed by Apple and Apple fans, Apple supporting media etc. It is constantly rubbed in everyone else's face how they are beneath Apple users, and how Android users are without tastes, have less money etc..

As soon as Apple came into specific markets, they have created this polarization and hatred and demeaning marketing towards their competitors and what's even worse their competitor's USERS.
