^^ Very good.

I wonder how fun this is to install on Ubuntu. Luckily, I installed sun-java before they took down the package some months back.

I just avoid having Java installed on any of my machines at all. "Java 6 update 67 is ready for download!" says it all

With Uni thankfully coming to an end very soon, I'll do the same thing. It should fall back to IcedTea and OpenJDK in any case.

Though to be honest, I have no idea what version of sun-java I'm using anyway - I'm sure i haven't updated it since last May.

Annoying:

a) Usage of "Sun" in many places. In AppData, in the Windows registry, in the domain names, and more... Change it to "Oracle" already.

Bad idea. Firstly, some old applications could be hard coded to use it (backwards compatibility). Secondly, users will lose the current Sun settings if they change it to Oracle (copy scripts could cause some issues and Java has enough issues as it is :p).

Last time I was on Windows, flash still used Macromedia in places.
