After figuring out how to finally use the Consumer Preview, I really have a completely positive perspective on the entire OS. At first the only things to notice were the performance improvements throughout the system and the integrated image mounter. I tried Windows 8 on a laptop first and since I had a sh*tty trackpad I let other user's opinions on the forum and the hardware's fault influence my bias to negate Metro as a unintuitive UI, this changed when I installed the CP on my Desktop last night and gave it a legitimate try once again. I kept thinking to myself Microsoft definately knows better than to alienate the non-tablet user base.

With that said I don't expect anyone to agree with this I simply just want to let people know to not take what Windows 8 is by word of mouth.

Thanks

You didn't tell how you learned to use Windows 8: You installed it in your desktop and used it. Is that it?

Well when you use a mouse instead of a trackpad you tend to get an idea of how to maneuver and hover your mouse on the screen to access the metro styled edges on the screen. Once I adjusted I was able to multi task like before and with style. It really became a much more pleasant experience to use.
