Yesterday we got some support from IPS (makers of the forum software) to resolve an issue where sometimes replying to topics either didn't complete (didn't show you the saved post being added on) or in some cases even threw up a database driver error. This, in a nutshell, had to do with how likes are processed within topics, and appears to be a bug in 3.2.x versions.

This has now been patched by DaveLegg. So if it happens again please let us know (but do screenshot what happens though).

We never rush to newer versions :p That would be mad lol

well yeah :p considering how well upgrades Usually go, even with the extensive testing you guys do on a second server :D

still looking forward to it though as there have been many needed bug fixes done since neowin last upgraded :)

Wut? what kinda tech site is this! You should be on the newest beta versions constantly :p

Happened to me earlier though but didn't screenshot it because I didn't know that it was "fixed" - i'll check and post back if it happens again

A screenshot of the driver error page doesn't contain any useful information anyway, all it tells us is an error occurred. There are many possible reasons for seeing that page, we fixed one of them, its not surprising that others still occasionally happen.

Cripe, did it take long enough to get that fixed, or what? I'll believe it when I realise it, but it sure has been a total pain to post here at times.

Actually hasn't been running to bad the last few days. Here's hoping!! :)

umm. this thread is from may 2012, before he spammer ressed it

    • That's not what I meant:) I like the tabs being above the URL bar, but previously the tab selection started from the top of the screen (y=0). So I could just quickly push my mouse up and done. Now I have to actually aim it just slightly below the top, because the tab is now a few pixels below the top. In other words, previously I only had to aim with my mouse horizontally, now I have to both vertically and horizontally. Super annoying.
