Apple releases iOS 5.1.1

Apple has just released iOS 5.1.1 (build number 9B206) for iPad, iPod touch, and iPhone. As you can see from the release notes above, the 54.4 MB update includes improved reliability for the HDR option when accessing the camera app from the lock screen, and number of other fixes for bugs affecting AirPlay video playback, the ability to switch between 2G and 3G networks on iPad, and an ?Unable to purchase? alert.

That's not a bug. Double click the home button and exit out of all those apps. I was literally just goggling this! LOL!

Yes! no more unable to purchase... was doing my head in .. not as bad as the sms stutter had my iPhone replaced by Apple and it still did it then switched network providers and it stopped :wacko:

Hmm...Maybe exit out of the app completely and reboot the phone?

Reboot makes the stutter go away for 1-2 days and then it returns.

I've had this too, it seems to happen after about 30 hours regardless of how many apps are open, or how many messages I've recieved, it's embarrassing.

I just got the update, 45MB on iPad 2.

Was this ever on the Neowin front page? I had no idea it existed until it buzzed me just a bit ago. First time I updated without a PC, BTW.

When will they fix the Safari cache bug, it's pretty widespread but the problem is most people won't know about it. At random will give me a cached copy of a page from weeks ago :/
