Big Bang Theory's Jim Parsons Comes Out As Gay

Recommended Posts

i'm still waiting for Matthew Broderick to finally come out of the closet.

lol would explain him marrying horse face from sex in the city, man her mere existence annoys me i wanna throw my jimmy chungs at the TV when shes on............

Big whoop-dee-doo. Why is this news? Someone's sexuality shouldn't make any difference in a civilised society.

We aren't as civilised as we like to think...

But yeah, I don't get this either. The whole big spectacular "coming out" thing seems silly to me. Makes it seem like being gay is only treated as some big flamboyant special crazy thing because people force it to be. I don't see why one's sexuality, gender, race, etc should have anything to do with anything.

it always upsets me to see things like this making big news. its their personal life let them do whatever they want and leave them alone.

I agree. It just should be a non issue at this point and certainly none of our business. Good for him though being in such a long committed relationship. :)

And I am shocked that he is 39... God, I hope I age that well. lol

Don't people get it yet...

The more you create headlines like these, the more you make homosexuality look 'out of the norm'.

We need to ignore stories such as these and act like they're just an everyday occurrence - funny thing being that they are.

Only then will you achieve tolerance.

Why would this make homosexuality look 'out of the norm'. It's celebrity gossip. Does having a headline of <insert random celebrity> being pregnant make pregnancy look 'out of the norm'?

Why would this make homosexuality look 'out of the norm'. [. . .]

I don't believe I've ever seen an article informing people that a celebrity is heterosexual, but I often see articles informing people that someone is gay or bisexual. The interest in such stories helps contribute to the ridiculous notion that same-sex attraction isn't normal. No one should assume anyone is heterosexual, but people do, and they are thus shocked or interested if they find out a person is gay or bisexual. This must stop.

Kinda knew that from watching 1 episode of the show. lol.

How come?

Because he has a "certain attitude"?

I tell you, a feminine attitude can mean a totally different thing, too. *cough cough*

I'm sure you would regard me as gay as well then if you met me in real life, I can tell you though that I'm differently homosexual being into dudettes.

(double hint :p)

Big whoop-dee-doo. Why is this news? Someone's sexuality shouldn't make any difference in a civilised society.

QFT.

We should just ignore it.

OR instead generate big headlines whenever a celebrity says he/she's hetero.

Would be a nice counter trend... /s

    • Linux 7.2's first release candidate gets off to a good start by Paul Hill Credit: Larry Ewing It has been a few weeks since the release of Linux 7.1, and in that time, the Linux 7.2 merge window has been open, where developers can submit their features and patches ready for the upcoming release. That window is now shut, and the release candidate phase has begun so that new features can be tested and further fixes applied. According to the founder of Linux, Linus Torvalds, this week’s release candidate looks “reasonably normal”. Although we are super early in the release candidates, this is a good sign as it makes it more likely that an eighth release candidate will not be needed. Torvalds even mentioned that the update’s stats are only larger than they really are because there was another AMD header drop with a third of the patch just being AMD GPU register definitions, which aren’t big changes but make the code contributed look larger overall. In addition to this, he noted that just over half the patch is drivers, even when excluding the AMD register dump. The rest of the changes are spread out over architecture updates, tooling, documentation, and core kernel updates. In the next week, Torvalds says that he will be chilling out, taking the week “mostly off”. Despite this, he will be reading emails and keeping up with things, so if he is slow responding, now you know why. He said he is hoping for a calm week, but we will just have to see if the second release candidate is actually like that. We should expect seven or eight release candidates before Linux 7.2 is released, so expect it around the end of August. If you missed it a few weeks ago, be sure to check out our coverage of Linux 7.1's release.
