Poor Mac Pro... it's like Apple doesn't even bother.

My old model is still fine - I just switched the GPU and slapped more memory into it + SSD and woosh it flies.

Very few "PC guys" can put similar hardware on the table even now.

Passbook in iOS6 is the first step to be able to go out without having a wallet in your pocket. NFC payments are coming up next in the new iPhone.

I tend to agree. Passbook was really all they could show without the hardware. I was reading so many people complaining because they didn't show NFC off, but how can they unless they're ready to show off the hardware? And if it won't launch until the fall, showing it off now would kill their 4S sales.

Although, I read recently that sales have dropped off for the iPhone and it was theorized that it's due to the yearly updates. Which makes sense. I wouldn't recommend anyone get a new iPhone with an update coming out in around 3 to 4 months unless they absolutely had to have a new phone right now.

With all that being said, I really wish some of those apps for Passbook were out right now. I'd really like to play around with that app.

I'm wondering why its called AirMac Express / Extreme in Japan.
In Japan, the line of products is marketed under the brand AirMac due to previous registration by I-O Data.

Apart from the fact it won't be called iPhone 5 - yes, too soon.

Fall release for sure, which goes nicely with my contract renewal haha.

This time I'll be a day 1 adopter

I'd put my money on the same things.

*cough*

Sorry for the thread resurrection, but it had to be done

The new iPod nano looks really cool. Hope I can demo one at an Apple Store soon.

New iTunes looks pretty nice, too. I'm assuming it will be version 11. I hope it's finally rewritten in Cocoa, though. Also not surprised to see Ping is being retired, I don't think it ever really took off in the first place.

Can't believe they didn't use NFC to go with Passbook

    • As a game dev, today was really depressing. They announced that Blueprints will be deprecated in UE6 to be fully replaced by their sh**ty Python-like Verse language... They also announced that 5.8 will be the last version of UE5 until UE6 comes out in MID 2029!!!! They have completely lost the plot.

    • That's not what I meant:) I like the tabs being above the URL bar, but previously the tab selection started from the top of the screen (y=0). So I could just quickly push my mouse up and done. Now I have to actually aim it just slightly below the top, because the tab is now a few pixels below the top. In other words, previously I only had to aim with my mouse horizontally, now I have to both vertically and horizontally. Super annoying.
