If you're going to do all the convoys you have to kill cops ;)

Though I think they where bad... not that I paid to much attention.

Yes, I did that as convoys were part of my plan for completing the game....that and the ridiculously named Palin Correctional Facility were the only times I was forced to hurt cops, but as you mentioned they are said to be crooked cops (by Aiden, who knows if he's a reliable narrator). It still felt wrong, even though this isn't really Chicago at all :(

Also managed to complete the game with only a couple civvies dead and less than ten injured

Anyone that can tell me how large any patches for watch dogs are? I wanna pick it up and play tonight but I have an awful connection so I was just curious.

Xbox One specifically.

Got it for X1 on launch day/night, and it wasn't too bad. Honestly can't remember patches downloading after the initial install, but the total game is like 22GB if i remember correctly? It's not that bad.

EDIT: just don't do the ready to play thing while it's downloading...i never trusted that feature and in most games it causes problems. With Watch Dogs there was a noticeable improvement in graphics once the whole game finished installing.

I keep getting kicked out of the game with a windows prompt that i'm out of memory and should close Watch Dogs. i can cancel it and go straight back into the game. Is anyone else getting this?

Windows 8.1 .. HD Radeon 7970 3GB, 8GB RAM and the game is modded to unlock the graphics.

Lowering the texture resolution helps, but i had it on the setting that says 'you require a 3gb graphics card for this option' now it's on 2gb required.. i have a 3gb, why is it borking on it?

Thanks for the reply, I did end up getting it last night and played for 2/3 hours. I purposely didn't do much story due to time, instead I went ahead and got a couple cell towers, fixer missions and 45ish/100 hotspots :P

P.S. The patch was only ~120MB

I installed the 2nd patch a while ago, 68MB iirc.   It has helped with performance from what I can tell so far.  I played for about an hour after making sure it didn't break anything, which it didn't.  I would lag at times when driving fast but that seems to have improved a good bit so no complaints from me.

I haven't been keeping track of what gives you XP but of course the obvious ones apply, finishing missions, any type.  Doing the side stuff like privacy intrusions etc.   The type of combat you do, like takedowns and or headshots and so on.

I meant like permanent XP bonuses for all or certain activities, from skills.

OH, so you mean the skill tree or w/e?  There's hacking bonuses, combat, driving and I think there's a fourth but I forgot, crafting iirc.  You unlock new stuff from crafting and hacking.  Combat and Driving just boost your "skill" in those areas etc, though combat unlocks some new tools as well.   The other stuff you get is from doing different side missions and so on, like if you complete the first 10 out of 40 or w/e you unlock either a new weapon or a new car etc.

Ah yes, the patch was quite small, that's why i didn't remember it. It's a really good game, kinda miss playing it now heh heh. The hotspots are fun, just keep in mind please that they are not to be taken seriously. The mix of fact and fiction set in a random city with mountains and islands that calls itself Chicago, IL is the only aspect of Watch Dogs that i did not like. So it's important to not take the city locations or anything else too seriously...but otherwise enjoy, and make sure to do the "magnifying glass" investigations, they're quite good.

I'm at work and just thought of this, won't be able to check for myself until tonight. Will someone list the skills/talents, what have you that increase XP gains, I tried googling on break and cannot locate any such list.

The map actually says "XP" under activities that give you XP. Otherwise it'll say cash or reputation. Some activities at first give you XP, but after a certain number of times revert to just cash or rep.

Thanks.i haven't really gotten time to play, normally just learn on my own haha I assume ctOS towers unlock at certain story mode points? I've only seen two on my map so far, but I do separately have all 100 hot spots for the achievement and some extra skills, I think that's how I got increased focus. Trying to get most currently available side stuff done before moving on in the story even though I'm only on like mission 3, act 1 lol

Nice and slow is the way to do it! And i think cTOS towers are available from the get go, or at least the command centers are, which when cleared unlock the towers. Only a few towers and command centers are story-related.

Are all of the side activities such as fixer contracts, gang hideouts, etc. (achievement side activities :) )still available after beating the game?

Yes, most definitely, and actually advisable to do them after the events of the story because Aiden takes on slightly enhanced abilities and picks up on certain things with greater frequency....

    • While I agree with all that, it just proves there's an a** built for every seat.
    • Lol are you mad because I'm not using AI? I'd rather pay people than lose a bunch of potential customers and get humilated because I used AI. A lot of people won't purchase a game if it used AI during development.

RFP is considered the best in class anti-fingerprinting solution, and its goal is to make users look the same and cover as many metrics as possible, in an effort to block fingerprinting techniques. Always display user language as en-US to websites, in order to protect the language used in the browser and in the OS. Disable WebGL, as it is a strong fingerprinting vector. Prevent access to the location services of the OS, and use Mozilla's location API instead of Google's API. Limit ICE candidates generation to a single interface when sharing video or audio during a videoconference. Force DNS and WebRTC inside the proxy, when one is being used. • hahahahah wow hahahah you sure got me there hahahahahah, you know that bad performance is always due to poor optimization by the developers, right???
    • "I know for a fact I'll never own one of these." This is why choice is better than government regulation. Globaly Android has something like 72% of the smartphone market. Granted the vast majority of that is low end phones. Apple can and should charge whatever they want. The market will decide if it is too much.
