iTunes for XP?

Actually, Apple has such a thing, though it probably won't ever be released. Apple keeps an x86 port of Mac OS X at all times to:

1. Have something to go to if the Apple platform flopped horribly.

2. Have cleaner, more cross-platform-compatible code (sometimes changes are made to the original code branch to make it work better on x86 and clean up the code)

Now, I just wish Apple would actually release that version!

Old versions of OS X server worked on x86, I installed DR 2 a few weeks ago, and sure enough, OS X on a PC :p

which version of osx server did you install on a pc? details? specs of the system?

"MacMinute will be covering Apple's Special Music Event live today, which takes place at 1:00 p.m. ET from the Moscone Center in San Francisco"

always one step behind, aren't we kiwi?

sorry...couldn't help myself...the link where you got that info was posted about 5 minutes ago. ;)

Can you guys please take this to another thread or to PM??

We're discussing the release of iTunes for Windows...we don't need this thread to fill up with OSX on PC crap.

Thank you.

I can't believe I'm just sitting here just refreshing the live coverage at macrumours.com...

Same with me. :) So it will be iTunes 4.1, not iTunes 5. Interesting. I like the macrumors version because it has low load and it also has no graphics. :D :D :D
