Bing announcements coming in the Microsoft conference today?

Recommended Posts

Here's something I noticed from a few hours ago. On Bing's Facebook page, they posted the following

Big things are coming to Bing tomorrow. You excited?!

Obviously the MS conference won't be focusing entirely on Bing, but it makes you wonder if the announcement tomorrow will be about Windows 8, since Bing is not heavily integrated into the OS outside of the travel and sports apps.

Maybe it's just another round of Bing updates that happened to fall on the same day as this secret announcement? I don't think MS would do a whole secret short notice event just for some Bing updates. Unless they're going to sell Bing to FB. :p

Hmm Facebook already uses Bing, what it really be of any major gain for them to buy it? Especially since how in the red Bing is.

Tight integration to the FB platform - search on FB isn't great, especially on mobile...

Pretty terrible is how I'd put it. It's a royal pain to find someone with a common name that has no mutual friends. Afaik you can't include networks, cities, companies in tandem with their name while searching.
