sava700
how can you really go without the original cast? But I guess its worth a shot for the final.
Scorbing
Firstly, are you honestly expecting people that don't like the films to have bought the DVDs or Blu-rays and watched all the special features? Secondly, I expect decent movies. The recent Batman films show that you can take a franchise previously seen as incredibly camp and cheesy and make it credible - and it's not just about making films all dark and serious. The first Transformers film was actually alright for the first half... then out came the cheesy, over-the-top bad guy and the entire film became a train wreck. And what I've seen of the other films - as I have no intention of watching them in their entirety - is even worse, an opinion supported by the appalling reviews and negative fan feedback. Nobody is asking for the franchise to become a tense political thriller or to redefine modern cinematography. But it would be a start if they were actually watchable, had a plot and cast people who could actually act (Megan Fox was a terrible choice - if you want eye-candy go watch some porn). Unfortunately they are very successful because - like The Avengers - they target families and young people with a lot of disposable income. So what you are saying is that The Avengers was a horrible movie too? Really? Mmmmmmm.....The box office once again seems to disagree with you also. Zoom7000
And tell us exactly what was wrong with the Transformer movies because the box office seems to disagree with you. What was so bad about them that you didn't like? You highlighted my quote out as if I'm the only person in the whole thread who didn't enjoy the 2nd and 3rd movies. Besides, the box office figures aren't an exactly accurate figure to go by on how good/bad a film might have been, after all, you have to go through the box office to watch the film in the first place! (well, in most cases!) :p
Rappy Veteran Posted July 6, 2012 Veteran Share Posted July 6, 2012 Yeah the BO is a a good indication to how the movie does but it doesn't necessarily mean that everyone who went enjoyed it and went back again I for one enjoy them for what they are, turn off brain for 2 hours and enjoy the effects. sharpy2k4
I wish they could somehow take the new story arc in line with the lead up after the 1984 movie. Show Unicron turning Megatron into Galvatron and then going all crazy from there. That would make me happy, oh, and the main character called Daniel. Just like me. That would be pretty dam good. Cybertron is already half destroyed from number 3 so anything they do in the new one would have to ensure that is still the same.

The series, however, started in 1984.

Scorbing
The Transformer movies were not bad at all. They did things (visually) that were absolutely stunning. The visual effects of the robots is something that had never been seen before and each movie seems to bring something spectacular as far as visual effects. It is a true special effects masterpiece. While I agree that the plot could have been better, the movies were not bad at all. I just wish they would have kept the movie "serious" all the time and skipped the comedy crap all together. The comedy scenes were totally unnecessary.
Dick Montage
it was a huge box office hit domestically and internationally, which means most people liked it. AND OTHER SUCH POSTS Box office figures DO NOT suggest it was a good movie. They suggest it was a well marketed third installment in a trilogy that people had invested in. Southern Patriot
Need to have a star trek - Trans4mers crossover reboot If there were ever a crossover (not that there ever would be), it would be Star Wars and Transformers, since Hasbro owns both toy lines. giantpotato
Optimus Prime Fired From "Transformers 4" Turns out it isn't just the human cast of the "Transformers" franchise that's getting refreshed. It looks like the robots are also being replaced by cheaper parts. TFW2005 has scored word directly from Hasbro that toy sales from the third film were down because of same characters in all three movies. As a result, "Transformers 4 will have a new cast of [robot] characters and it will be a story revolving around these new characters." Ehren Kruger ("Transformers: Dark of the Moon") is writing the script for the Michael Bay-directed fourth film which hits cinemas June 27th, 2014. Source: http://www.darkhoriz...-transformers-4 I don't like where this is going. This is just stupid, altering the characters of a movie because toy sales are down.

Lingwo
Next it'll be a new twist on the story and it will turn out that the Transformers are mutations from some radioactive ooze and then brought up by a mutated rat. Seriously, Transformers without Optimus Prime is like The Simpsons without The Simpsons. Kriz 1 Share
