A naked carjacking suspect was caught after reportedly causing two separate car accidents that injured seven people and shut down multiple roads in Scottsdale on Friday afternoon, officials said.

The man who caused a three-car accident at Hayden Road and Via De Ventura in Scottsdale is believed to have carjacked a blue Toyota Prius that, soon after, caused another multiple-vehicle accident about 2 p.m. at 90th Street and Shea Boulevard, said Bruce Dressel of the Scottsdale Traffic Management Center.

Police received a call about 1:30 p.m. about the first collision at Hayden and Via De Ventura, where three people were hurt, said Sgt. Mark Clark, a Scottsdale police spokesman.

Witnesses said the man ran into a Porsche, causing it to crash with another vehicle, and then got out of his car, took off his clothes, jumped onto a vehicle and started chanting and singing, Clark said.

The suspect then approached a Prius, pulled the female driver out of the car and drove northbound on Hayden Road, Clark said.

The woman was not injured. The man in the Porsche was ejected on impact and sustained serious injuries, but they are not life-threatening.

Police believe the suspect then attempted to drive the Prius eastbound in the westbound lanes of Shea when he collided with three other vehicles, Clark said.

Witnesses said the Prius rolled multiple times before the suspect was ejected through the windshield, rolled onto the pavement and then attempted to carjack an SUV, Clark said.

The suspect was taken into custody and taken to a hospital to be evaluated for drug use or any mental issues. He could face carjacking and felony hit-and-run charges, Clark said.

Four people were injured at the second scene.

A pregnant woman sustained two broken legs, one person sustained serious injuries and two others sustained minor injuries.

feel bad for the pregnant woman... two broken legs, OUCH! But she is lucky in a way, it could have been MUCH WORSE for her.

Also sad that people aren't wearing seatbelts (particularly for the Porsche driver, not so much the carjacker),It is not normal to be "ejected on impact", with all the modern safety technology in cars you have a much better chance of survival or avoiding serious injury inside the car.

I know that there are a lot of people who are still against seatbelts for some stupid reason, so I have to explain this: The airbag will be deployed whether you wear the belt or not, modern cars are designed to not crumple the driver or passenger areas. If the impact had sufficient force to crumple the driver or passenger areas, then the impact would also have enough force to throw the driver/front passenger with as much force that would be likely to cause death... Unless the wind shield is made from Cling Wrap and you land on a bed of pillows.

^ I wouldn't think seatbelts or an airbag would be good for a pregnant woman.

All the Google Search results I can find regarding 'seat belts and pregnancy' and 'air bags and pregnancy' all suggest that both of these technologies are safer for the expectant mother and her unborn baby than not having these technologies.

    • O&O ShutUp10 3.1.1104 by Razvan Serea O&O ShutUp10 offers a simple yet effective way to take control of your Windows privacy. It provides access to almost 50 privacy-related tweaks, most of them hidden or not easily accessible to the average computer users. Using a very simple interface, you decide how Windows 10/11 should respect your privacy by deciding which unwanted functions should be deactivated. Using ShutUp10 you can easily disable Windows Defender, turn off telemetry, disable peer-to-peer updates, turn off Wi-Fi Sense, disable automatic Windows updates, turn off and reset Cortana and more. ShutUp10 allows you to create a System Restore point before you apply any changes, so that you can revert your system at any time if you run into problems. O&O ShutUp10 is entirely free and does not have to be installed – it can be simply run directly and immediately on your PC. And it will not install or download retrospectively unwanted or unnecessary software, like so many other programs do these days! O&O ShutUp10 Free and Premium The latest version brings O&O ShutUp10 Premium, expanding the app’s long-standing privacy controls with automatic enforcement of user-defined settings. Instead of manually rechecking options after every Windows update, users can set their preferred privacy configuration once—or apply recommended settings in a single click—and the tool continuously monitors them in the background. If Windows 10 or 11 re-enables disabled features or introduces new data collection paths, Premium restores the chosen settings automatically without user intervention. The free version remains available and fully functional for manual adjustments, offering the same core privacy controls for Windows. However, the Premium tier is aimed at users who want long-term, hands-off protection, adding automatic reapplication after updates, ongoing monitoring, and optional notifications to ensure privacy settings remain consistent over time. • Fascinating...W h i t e P o w e r is now also asterisks out.
    • In the past few days I have noticed two odd moderation activities. First, when I posted the term 'White Nationist Christian' it was asterisk's out. When I changed it to **** it was allowed! Second, in the Politics is a ###business thread I was allowed to post that the GOP is a party of p e d ophiles but I was censored  when I posted the GOP are a party of p e d ophile protectors. Wtf Neowin. Please explain.
