The Surface Pro 7+ already has a USB C port which can be used for everything you mentioned, except for eGPUs. Meanwhile, microsoft have gotten rid of ALL of the following that are present in the Surface Pro 7+: -

They want to push people into a subscription for years. The free online MS office stuff is okay, but then you need an account and files are online, some people may not want their files online. Also, the free online stuff is limited
