Either I'm seeing things or Chrome 43.0.2357.18 now only loads tabs when you click on them after restarting the browser. 

 

You're quite right. It does for me, too.

 

By the way, is anybody keeping track of the interface overhaul? I can't find the ticket on the bug tracker anymore, but I'm really curious to see if any progress has been made...

and why hasn't Chrome sorted the bookmarks menu yet? I might be going crazy but I'm sure it has recently moved down the settings menu a bit, or menu options were added above it.

Bookmarks are missing from Spartan too.

Maybe they try to be innovative.

Chrome is slowest browser on ATOM surface.

 

It really needs to go back to it's 2009 roots as an ultra lightweight browser :-(

 

... peacekeeper benchmark shows this on an i7 where it is faster but slower on an ATOM
