Infographic: If the earth's age were scald down to 24 hours

Human evolution plans are all nice and dandy... on paper. Why care of future generations I will not experience, feel, even know? I have to admit, I am moderately egocentric and I do not have the "heart" for everyone, not nearly, as it is, but much less for things that aren't there yet and have infinite number of threats other than me.

Have I not evolved? Perhaps, although I do think and with an intellectual capacity of greater than average. It seems that it is not enough.

Instead, I'd argue that persistent conflict is the defining trait of living, intelligent or otherwise.

I'll have you know that I read your entire comment with the voice of Dr. Strangelove in my head. lol

We're a minute and 17 seconds old... lol... And yet, according to some politicians, we did to the earth in 1:17 what hadn't been done in 23 and 3/4 hours to cause global warming. Shenanigans. :p

PS- I'm not saying we're not helping it along, because we are... I just think its insane to blame humans on causing global warming. Plus, it's been proven that global warming and cooling is cyclical. Global warming caused the last ice age... We were cave men back then, so it wasn't our fault. Why blame this cycle on us completely?

That's my whole feelings on it. The people who spew the "global warming" rhetoric over and over seem to have this utterly misguided notion that our climate is supposed to be absolutely static and any deviation from that is obviously entirely our fault. At best we have 120 years of meteorological data with which to infer climate. Which is a ridiculously short amount of time to be basing anything on that scale off of.

Not saying humanity hasn't impacted it but to think that the climate should stay exactly the same aside is simply naive.
