LOS ANGELES (AP) ? Michael Clarke Duncan's fiancee says the Oscar nominee for "The Green Mile" has died while being hospitalized following a July heart attack.

Publicist Joy Fehily released a statement from Clarke's fianc?e, the Rev. Omarosa Manigault, saying the 54-year-old actor died Monday morning in a Los Angeles hospital after nearly two months of treatment following the July 13 heart attack.

The 6-foot-5, 300 pound Duncan appeared in dozens of films, including such box office hits as "Armageddon," ''Planet of the Apes" and "Kung Fu Panda,"

Duncan had a handful of minor roles before "The Green Mile" brought him an Academy Award nomination for best supporting actor. The 1999 film, based on the Stephen King novel of the same name, starred Tom Hanks as a corrections officer at a penitentiary in the 1930s. Duncan played John Coffey, a convicted murderer.

That's so sad :(

He just seemed like one of the true genuine nice people on this earth. Sad to hear this :(

Yeah very few high profile people around like that these days :(

How horrible, I really liked the dude, will never forget his fantastic acting in "The Green Mile"! He will be remembered by many I am sure!

I see that Sylvester Stallone's son also died of an heart attack, saw this when I went to look Yahoo News page for Michael Duncan obituary. Sly is taking the death of his son pretty hard apparently.

RIP good sir. One of the truly decent and kind Humans in Hollywood imo. Saw him on talk shows (especially Craig Furgesion's) and he was just so nice and gentle and kind all the time. He was a huge guy, but wasn't imposing or anything. Loved him in The Green Mile of course, and even though Armageddon wasn't particularly terrific or anything, he was fun in that as well.

Sad day for Hollywood. I hope his family is ok.

      The limited imaginations and business acumen of non-dominant players is simply that: the abject lack of creative business acumen. Businesses often want to operate in a financially-rewarding marketplace (free market economics) and/or exit/cash-out at maximal financial recompense. Money is their incentive; regulations are both their obstacles and their tools; politics is their means of influencing the marketplace. Google, in this story's example, is crying that AWS and Azure are "too dominant" -- cuz Google Cloud is not printing as much money as Alphabet wants (although it is still dramatically more than they actually need). The EU DMA should truly follow-the-money and treat the EU as its own sovereign nation in order to protect European market players: Domestic entities are exempt from market-influence regulations until absolute monopoly is achieved; Foreign (non-EU/non-Euro) entities are all regulated via stricter DMA measures whereby regulated partnership with independent domestic entity becomes the only way for foreign entities to 'tip the scale' for favorable financial remunerations. Basically create a dual-track aligning with China's foreign investment models. In my eyes, this is the only way to properly protect the European marketplace beyond the current dot-com/ai-bubble/social-media crazes.
