Wow. This is the most shocking Hollywood death for me. I grew up watching the movies he starred in and I always knew him as a gentle giant. Just like his appearance, his voice was very unique. It was deep and empowering. I definitely recognized it in the various video games and movies he voiced.

I'm surprised that he suffered a heart attack because he's quite muscular. May he rest in peace. :(

One of the truly genuine and nice guys, and in hollywood thats rare these days.

Green mile is one of the truly great movies ever released, in big part due to him, and will remain a favourite of mine.

I remember watching him on Craig Ferguson, when he went to Scotland, and thinking to myself, "how much would i like to hang out with MCD? What a great guy"

I will strangely always remember him as Kingpin, if they ever cast a new one in the Daredevil Reboot (when it happens!) it will never be the same! :(

So sad, my best friend and I were just talking about the vegetarian thing. I'm not saying it killed him but humans are omnivores by nature, I can't help but think it may have played a role in it. =o(

i wonder if his weight contributed to the heart attack? because before that i never heard he had health issues? i mean he was big but more muscular. anyways im really saddened by this, green mile was a classic.

He looked like a roid user to me. They are well known to damage the heart muscle. Arnold has had heart problems too. His use of steroids combined with his weight probably stressed his heart too much.

That's why I'd never want to be that muscular, it's just not healthy. I'd rather be thin and toned with a Bruce Lee like physique.
