That's what Windows call them. Themes. Wasn't it that way even on Windows 7?

I was just expecting some UI changes to WIndows 8 from themers here I guess.

I think you were referring to "visual styles" for Windows 8. Themepacks, as far as it was described for Win7, mostly refer to wallpaper packs such as featured in this thread.

Yeah, Ominous is right.

There is no many 'visual styles' at this moment. Several of them

We have to wait a little bit more to get more true visual styles for Windows 8.

If I double-click the .deskthemepack files Windows 8 just tells me it cannot save them to my computer with an error dialog. I can unzip the files and use the backgrounds manually however.
