Oh look, a free UFC event. And this one is a doozy.

Struve_vs._miocic.JPG

Let's look at the card. Lot's of potential barnburners, will probably feature a high percentage of finishes. Fights deemed filler will be just c[_] but still could turn out something amazing like TJ Grant vs Evan Dunham did at UFc 152.

Prelims on Facebook :s

Robert Peralta vs. Jason Young - c[_]

DaMarques Johnson vs. Gunnar Nelson - Nelson has been tearing people's limbs apart into a 9-0-1 record. DaMarques is coming on short notice and clearly violating a 60 days no-contact order since getting KTFO by Mike Swick at the last UFC on FOX card. And that's why this card is in England. Pesky things those athletic comissions. I hope Johnson just gives up an arm if things get heavy.

Brad Tavares vs. Tom Watson - Tom Watson finally makes the jump from BAMMA to the UFC and is placed in the middle of the Facebook card? Why? I don't really know, but Brad is being offered here as a sacrificial lamb for the hometown crowd. Still, he's a hard hitter and if he connects cleanly, it could make Kong's debut a very sad one. Beating a washed up Murilo Rua doesn't automatically make you a UFC caliber fighter.

Akira Corassani vs. Andy Ogle - Oh, look, TUF washouts. c[_]. Akira probably, by KO.

Kyle Kingsbury vs. Jimi Manuwa - Manuwa is 11-0 but I've never seen him fight. Kingsbury is on the verge of getting cut so he'll be doing whatever he can to escape that fate. He has the experience edge, let's just call it a litmus test for Manuwa. If he loses, he has another fight and gets cut by the UFC in short time.

Main Card on FUEL

Duane Ludwig vs. Che Mills - Che Mills last fight was hilarious, seeing how the UFC pushed the narrative that he would be a challenge for Rory Mcdonald. He was smashed into pieces and survived only because Ares decided to be merciful. Now, he gets to fight someone more his speed, Ludwig, a guy who bears the cross of being KTFO by a 0-4 Dan Hardy. Both guys always come to bang so... fun fight, I hope.

John Hathaway vs. John Maguire - Hathaway is one of the top WW prospects but he just can't seem to get himself out there like Rory did. He just keeps getting injured. He has wins over Rick Story and Diego Sanchez, so he's no slouch. Maguire is a caracther but his gameplan is clear: to use his superior grappling to get the nod. Hathaway just has to keep it standing and away from the fence and he's golden and hopefully onto better things than a FUEL card.

Paul Sass vs. Matt Wiman - Sass is basically what Shinya Aoki would look like if white, pastier, and Brittish. Let's see if Wiman's smart enough to keep it standing and put Sass' cardio to the test (almost all his wins are in the first round by crippling submission. And he's also dangerous from his back, so double threat).

Yves Jabouin vs. Brad Pickett - Pickett, because he's awesome. He's got the striking and grappling. Jabouin could try to keep him at range and kick the living daylights out of him but I think One Punch will have him figured out. Also, he holds a win over Mighty Mouse.

Dan Hardy vs. Amir Sadollah - It's a make it or break it moment for both of these guys. Sadollah has been surviving on the goodwill of the UFC brass but he's 6-3 and not fitting into any role other than name value from TUF. Hardy has pictures of one of the Fertitas having sex with an octopus, so he's in the clear even if he loses again. Still, it would be nice to see him prop himself back up again, slowly but surely because, like the main eventers, he either wins surprisingly or gets devasted.

Stipe Miocic vs. Stefan Struve - Struve, like I said above either KO's the other guy after taking a massive beating, submits the other guy because he's one of the few HW with ground game, or gets KTFO into oblivion. Miocic is the second coming of Cro Cop but with wrestling ability. This fight has all the right ingredients and I'm pretty sure it won't last past the 2nd round. And if it those, there will be pints of blood all around the ring.

    • OpenAI introduces ChatGPT agent that can complete tasks using its own computer by Pradeep Viswanathan OpenAI already offers two distinct types of agents: Operator, which can browse the web and independently carry out tasks, and Deep Research, which specializes in synthesizing large volumes of online information. Today, OpenAI unveiled the ChatGPT agent, a new AI that combines the web-browsing abilities of Operator, the research strengths of Deep Research, and the conversational skills of ChatGPT into a single, powerful agent. The ChatGPT agent can now do work using its own computer. Based on the user query, it can navigate websites, filter results, prompt a user to log in when required, run code, do analysis, create spreadsheets and PowerPoints, and more. The ChatGPT agent will have access to the following tools to complete the tasks given by users: A visual web browser that interacts with the web through a GUI A text-based browser for simpler reasoning-based web queries A terminal Direct API access The ability to connect with ChatGPT connectors. Since the ChatGPT agent is doing all its work using its own virtual computer, it will have all the required context to complete the task. For example, the agent can visit a website using the browser, download a file from the website, manipulate the same file by running a command in the terminal, and then view the output back in the visual browser. OpenAI claims that the ChatGPT agent posts state-of-the-art performance on various evaluations measuring web browsing and real-world task completion capabilities. Here are some of the highlights: Humanity’s Last Exam: The ChatGPT agent scores a new pass@1 SOTA at 41.6. When running up to eight attempts at once and picking the one with the highest self-reported confidence, the score increases to 44.4. FrontierMath: The ChatGPT agent reaches 27.4% accuracy. OpenAI's internal benchmark, which evaluates model performance on complex, economically valuable knowledge-work tasks: The ChatGPT agent's output is comparable to or better than that of humans in roughly half the cases. DSBench: The ChatGPT agent surpasses human performance by a significant margin on data science tasks. SpreadsheetBench: The ChatGPT agent scores 45.5%, compared to Copilot in Excel’s 20.0%. BrowseComp: The ChatGPT agent set a new SOTA with 68.9%. WebArena: The ChatGPT agent scored 65.4%. The ChatGPT agent is now available in the ChatGPT tools dropdown with the new ‘agent mode’. When the agent is performing its task, users can find on-screen narration; they can also interrupt and take control of the browser whenever needed. The ChatGPT agent will be available for all ChatGPT Pro users by the end of the day. ChatGPT Plus and Team users will get access over the next few days, while Enterprise and Education users will get access in the coming weeks. ChatGPT Pro users can have 400 messages per month with the agent, while other paid users will only get 40 messages monthly. However, users can purchase additional agent usage using flexible credit-based options.
    • Can't wait! Will be weird to type on it though. Also needs to be light enough to hold while open with one hand like the Z fold. I have owned every Z fold so far
    • Batteries using radioactive isotopes? This has a Fallout vibe and I like it.
    • Since it's not easy to find, here's how to do the Group Policy. 1) Update the templates: https://www.microsoft.com/en-u...nload/details.aspx?id=49030 2) In Gpedit.msc: User Configuration, Microsoft Word 2016, Word Options, General, Allow Startup Boost feature (Disable) https://i.imgur.com/RgAKijh.png
    • Why does this article exist on Neowin? It's an interesting discovery that may or may not bear fruit in many years of trials depending on several variables, but the article is written as if we were specializing in chemistry. I'm not sure if a very basic AI prompt led to this, but if you must use AI (really? I'm disappointed), maybe write the prompt "Summarize this from the limited view of a tech enthusiast." or something.
