email client for XP besides outlook express?

Question

Hi there.

I was wondering if there is an email client that is compatable with windows XP besides outlook express.

I really don't like using outlook express for various reasons...

Freeware is preferred, but I'm willing to pay for a professional and stable email client if it's worthy.

Peagus isn't compatable with windows xp YET. :(

Any links or insight would be appreciated.

thanks

TheBAT! totaly awesome

menus are a bit misplaced but once you get used to them it's perfect.

i personaly use netscape's builtin email client. it does what i need..basic features. and since i have netscape just in case, might as well use it's client.

Features

supports almost every kind of protocol

unlimited accounts

address book

backup mailbox to anywhere

no install needed. you can just copy the folder and run it!

have used with no probs on all win os's

auto-responder

tray icon if enabled

FREEWARE!!

Why is it that the free ones are almost always better then the ones you have to pay for? hmmm

BAH! Netscape Mail in Netscape 6.2.1's the way to go! ;) Supports POP3, IMAP, Netscape WebMail, and AOL! But if you use it for Hotmail or MSN, then I'm afraid you'll have to stick with OE or use Outlook!
