Wedding photography - My first wedding

Hey guys, Recently I have started the push into paid photography work and started with my first wedding almost 2 weeks ago, The bride now has the photos and is incredibly happy with them. Was wondering if I could steal some community thoughts on them? The bride is going to love them regardless really lol

What do you guys reckon then...?

My only thoughts are your processing is too heavy. Your vignette is very heavy and the images could be brighter. But that's just a processing thing. If you and the bride / groom are happy, thats all that counts :)

good composition, just a suggestion would be brighten them up a bit, they look way too dark to be wedding photographs. Like the first one, the angle plays really well, but it's just to dark.

Also on the chapel one you could go use a little bit of noise removal + sharpening. In fact all of them could use a little bit of sharpening

agree with the above they seem a little dark but the compo was good in a lot of them.

I agree with both above posters, but I would also suggest looking into colour temperature and perhaps on the subjects themselves. For example, in the first picture, the bride's dress is yellow, some of the foliage is warm green and some is a cold green. In the last two pictures the subjects disappear from focus slightly due to the strong background and mellow foreground.

That said, don't get me wrong - they are by no means bad shots (and I think you know that!), just some thoughts on what you could look into. :D

I also agree that they are slightly dark. On another note, while I like the trees being directly behind the couple in some shots, I would also include some shots where they don't have any heavy distractions composed behind them.

On the second photo, make sure not to cut off their limbs. It just look odd that only his knuckles are visible. Try to zoom out/step back in order to get the framing to include the whole subject. It's ok to crop some of the subject out but make sure not to do it at their elbows, wrist, knees, etc. It's just something I've picked up and I might not be explaining it correctly and doesnt always apply.

Good job though and I would try to make the photos a bit brighter, use a wider aperture or a slower shutter speed.
