AMD Catalyst 12.11 beta 8

AMD has release beta 8 of the Catalyst 12.11 series of drivers.

FEATURE HIGHLIGHTS OF THE AMD CATALYST 12.11 BETA8 DRIVER

AMD Catalyst 12.11 Beta8 is now available, and includes the following updates:

(Please note that AMD Catalyst 12.11 Beta8 includes all of the fixes found in previous versions of AMD Catalyst 12.11 Beta)

• Improves performance up to 5% in Max Payne 3
  
• Includes single GPU performance updates for Far Cry 3
  
• Improves CrossFire scaling for Planetside 2 (Crossfire scaling is still limited to ~30% at 2560x1600)
  
• Resolves the Skyrim lighting issue (missing a lighting pass) for the AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series
  
• Resolves the hang encountered playing Dishonored on the AMD Radeon HD 6000 and AMD Radeon HD 5000 Series
  
• AMD Catalyst 12.11 Beta 8 for Linux includes significant performance improvements for Left for Dead 2

Have they fixed the Modern UI corruption yet?

The last 12.11 drivers I used made anything MUI all graphics corrupt and unreadable.

I havn't noticed any modern ui corruption at all, what card are you using?

7850, Beta 4 drivers made Modern UI unusable, it also affected XBMC. Rolled back to 12.10 and corruption disappeared.

Nope. Was there in Beta 7 and still there in Beta 8

Its the 2D Clocks being too low & too lower voltage to handle it, there are some fixes on Guru3D that require editing your CCC .xml files to bump up the clocks and voltage for 2D

I went back to Windows 7 instead

I don't have any corrupt fonts on plex.. Either on my 7850 or my 4850..

installing now, hopefully it will solve my fan problems, the first beta for this version the fan speeds are ridiculous

AMD rocks for hitman absolution. Nvidia has lost out. AMD made a great move by acquiring the graphics ATI company. I like AMD.
