I lurked on the forum for about 2 months before registering, and read the front page pretty much since its inception.

I lurked for about a year, not because I was that interested in Neowin (at first) but because I have a bad tendency to open a tab and leave it open for a few weeks/months before I decide I don't need it anymore. As it happened with Neowin, I found myself browsing the forums and looking at the news often enough to register. Before that it went from a few visits every couple weeks to growing into a pretty regular thing over the course of a year.

Pretty sure I joined within the first month of discovering Neowin.. maybe a bit more, but probably not much. Kept ending up here everytime I looked for an answer about something computer related so I figured joining might be a good idea.

Though I feel more like a lurker than a real member, heh. :)

I found Neowin in 2001 and read the news each day since then. I finally signed up almost 2 years later in 2003 to ask a networking related question.

I think I actually joined almost right away, something like 2002 but it was at a time where you couldn't change your user name so I later decided to start a new account in 2004.
