becuse they are the only computers that havnt had to go back for repairs

Why not build your own. Much cheaper, and you won't have a motherboard with SATA connectors that are disabled just because you didn't pay enough, which is what these proprietary companies do. Hope you get them working. Maybe go into the Bios and see if anything in there, although if HP disabled them, then any bios option will be hidden.
