Yeah, maybe. :D

It?s a HP 15" TFT from 2001 but it still fits my needs. I will buy a new one when Longhorn is released and we all need 5 GHz PCs with 28" monitors, minimum. ;))

Are you kidding me by the time longhorn's comming we all be flying in spaceships and eating small electrical components :pp :DD

hey Dazzla, how do you like the Z-680 speaker system? I can't seem to convince myself that it's worth the money

I had a set and took them back....I like to listen to my music at a nice mellow range. I found no difference in the 680's at that range.

Although if you like to have it cranked the 680's went way above my 640's for No Distortion..So if you like to Crank the tunes, te 680's are likely worth the money..If you just like a medium range sound the 640's are my choice ;)

The 640's were my other choice. I just want something that sounds great while playing games and with music, but it doesnt need to sound like a movie theater in my room. I've had these for a few years and they just don't cut it anymore. Good to know, thanks.

I'll tell ya.....I've owned a few premier speaker systems. I have a cpl right now.. LOL!!

The 640's set apart at the right spacing and the sub adjusted properley with a good sound card will surprise you..The 5.1 is Very Very distinctive!. Trust me on this one ;) I have folks come to my home here and tell me their home stereo doesn't sound near as good...I have a Sony Mini System home stereo, I haven't used in years..100W per, it cost me around $800.00 at the time I bought it a cpl years back :)

I just bought a set of Klipsch ProMedia 5.1s. They blow the 680s out of the water. (but at list price of $399 USD, you expect a lot) I'll post pics with my workstation when I get my digital camera working.

When you say...Blow Out.... Do you mean they play what you want to hear Very Loud without distortion..?? I don't understand what you mean by *Blow Out*..??

Here's my 640's Adjusted Matrix,Fader and Surround....Sub Woofer is behind the desk tucked into the rear shelf...I took back the 680's I had becasue they gave me no greater sound...

Although I have all of them in front of me the surround sound is extremely noticeable...What do you mean by Blow Out..These are powered by a Soundblaster Live Premium Chip :)

;) Knight

    • Yes for me, I installed 'old calculator' (Windows 7 calculator) in its place since it is more useful to me. I think paint is the only one I left installed
