I didn't notice.

It did look nice, but the widescreens are a bit disorienting to me. I have one at work and after using that is when I got my screens. After using a widescreen for over a year, I'm still not too comfortable with it.

I thought it was about time I posted mine ;)

What desk is that? And if you want a cheap secondary 19" lcd the samsung 910t is pretty good (if you don't mind 25ms response time) and is only 445 at newegg. If you need a faster response time their are a few others in that price range that are 16ms but I forget the brand and models.

Yea the 2 MX1000's are for the ibook and pc :)

I really want an additional 2 LCD's, as my current one has a rubbish vertical viewing angle. Was possibly looking the Dell UltraSharpe 2005FPW 20" but I haven't heard great things about dead pixels and stuff, also don't like the look of 'em !

Desk was from ikea, but that was years ago and I don't think they make it anymore :(

New pic of my comp w/ new burner.

It's nice not to have to pull out the treay by hand anymore. What happened was that I came back from swimming, before I went outside, I left my computer burning a CD, of course, it opened. You know the adjuster handle for the chair? That was over the drive tray I came back, sat down, and I'm sure you can figure out the rest from here. But I got 1 3/4 years out of it before it went.

Edit: flipped pic of computer.

You do realize that BenQ Manufactures dells monitors, right? I got 3 BenQ FP767's and I won't pay Dell's prices when their stuff isn't any better anyway.

I'll post benchmarks and a full review soon, when I have everything operational in work environment.

Cheers.

switch out that crt for the dell 2001fp in the background!

Those are dual Dell FP2001 displays there btw, and yes this is just a temporary setup until I install everything. I still need to work and complete projects. But once it's done, dual LCDs with LX700 keyboard and MX1000 (aka MX3100) goes on this dual Xeon. But thanks for the advice. The older machine gets a dual CRT Mitsubishi's.

*stands in puddle of *****

That's..... just..... expensive.............

Well, if you want to compare..

Dell 1704Fp = $400

Benq 17" = $350

Dell specs:

12ms response

1000:1 contrast ratio

Benq specs

16ms response

400:1 contrast ratio

I think the dell is worth the extra $50. Although Benq manufactures dell's monitors, they are much better than the benq branded ones. Im running dual 1703fps, and think that dell's monitors are overall the best in the world.

Why did you spend so much on a computer?

you should have spent more money on peripherals like monitors, speakers and mouse / keyboards than on hardware that will be second-best in 6 months.

I won't bother creating another thread, but is there a decent mousemat out there which isn't a hard surface? I've got a RatpadzGS but I hate the texture of it  I need a goddamn decent mousemat!

585303194[/snapback]

me too this cheap dell one i have makes the mouse move all around if you move it too fast, stupid optical :/

    • Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8, Flip 8, Z Fold Wide: Everything you need to know The ONLY thing I need to know is the price, which I know will be way higher than I (and most people) are willing to pay for a phone... so basically nothing here I need to know. PS: Nice job getting that Apple reference to a non-existent and unrevealed product as "competition" in there. Cheque is in the mail.
