@suntzu, nice setup. are your cases suspended off the floor?  and because of the curve on the front of those dell boxes, it looks like yours is halfway in the wall

Yes, the are strapped to arms that clamp on the desks (only $10 from ikea!). They are really sturdy too!

That's a sweet setup  but do you sit on the couch while on the PC?

LOL, no I just moved my chair out of the way for the pics, although i do tend to pass out on the couch after long counter-strike sessions!

OMG You have aliens floating in your room

I noticed that, my lens is apparently filithy!

Sunt, specs in the Rosewill case?

The Specs are as follows:

Black Clone PC (Windows Media Center 2005): P4 3.2Ghz, 2GB PC3200, 250GB SATA, RADEON 9800 PRO, INTEL D865PERL MOBO, AUDIGY 2 PLATINUM, LITE-ON 16x DVD+-RW DUAL LAYER, 2x ACER 1731 MONITORS, LOGITECH Z560 SPEAKERS, MICROSOFT FINGERPRINT READER/KEYBOARD.

The Gateway on the top shelf (Windows SBS 2003): P4 2.4Ghz, 1GB PC3200, 250GB PATA, the rest is crap!

Dell Optiplex GX270 (Suse 9.2 Professional): P4 3.0Ghz, 2GB PC3200, 200GB SATA, RADEON 9800 PRO

Toshiba M200 Tablet PC (WinXP Tablet PC 2005): Pentium M 1.7Ghz, 1GB PC2700, 100GB Seagate HD.

Well here is "the lab".? Yeah Yeah, I know I am missing a monitor for the dell on the end, my 3rd acer crapped out yesterday:((.? My 5 year old daughter helped me lay the carpeting yesterday, and I drove almost 2 hours to the closest ikea for the desks, but I think it was well worth the drive!

Yeah! I like the desk! The depth is alittle to much for my space. Those circles in the pics are ghost orb:blink:k: But many people that have them didn't know that they are ther:):) . For more info you can goto indianaghosts.homestead.com

Yeah I know ikea is sooo cheap! It was my first time there, as I stated I live in Milwaukee, WI and I had to drive to a suburb of chicago, il just to get there! The whole desk setup was less than $550 with all the addon shelves, wire racks, and swivel shelves, plus i bought 2 of the file cabinets, and 2 of the cpu holders. A similar "lan station" from cdw, or tech data is easily over 1000.00! I am very very happy with the quality of the parts also. I highly reccomend!

Hi wonder if one of you guys with the ikea jerker desk could tell me if a 21" CRT (Iiiyama vision master pro) will fit on it ok, It says on the website that it can take upto a 21" monitor but not sure if it means a 21" TFT or both, thanks  :)

I had a 21" dell crt on there at first it fits with some room left over, i had it positioned on an angle though in the corner.

Well, it does get quite annoying when there is about 10 pictures @ 1024x768 in one post alone, let alone in a post just to add "OMFG! WOW! WHAT A ****ING NICE SETUP!"

I don't dispute that but the original poster stated it was against the rules and I have never seen anything about quoting images in any of the neowin rules.

I was trying to figure out where this was so I could take a look at them.

They're only 800x600

You know the only thing better than a dual monitor setup is a 3 monitor setup!! Nice man.

^ Nice.

I Shall post some of my new 'setup' once I get my stuff sorted.

Need my Logitech Z-5500 Replacing (Currently using my old Z-680's)

Need my Dell 2005FPW replacing, Severe Backlight Bleeding ALL over & 4 Dead Pixels.

What's wrong with your stuff?

My Z-5500's packed up the day I got my 2005FPW. Just no power going through them at all. Logitech said its a hardware fault and I should get them replaced from my POP (Point of Purchase) Which is eBuyer. Shame there out of stock.

The 680's look so old school compared to the 5500's!

And my 2005FPW... Well i'm not happy with its quality, Dead pixels, Backlight bleed, TERRIBLE screen door.

If you want a picture of it ill do one, but i'm not happy with it at the moment.

    • If someone chooses to continue using SB and therefore goes through the manual intervention in the thread, afterwards the BSOD problem is gone. Whether they then re-enable the task doesn't matter, they're done, though on such machines it might pay to keep it disabled in case the next update (if there is a next) causes the same problem. OTOH, if someone disables SB in the BIOS, the problem is also gone. Incidentally, I noticed that this task exists even on machines that don't support SB. It's just installed across the board...and runs. Doing what on such machines is a little hazy.
