You may want to update your signature.  Your monitor either has a 500:1 Contrast Ratio or 24ms Response time.  The 12ms FPT has 500:1, the 24ms FPV has 1000:1.

huh? please explain.

how do I make sure which one mine is?

I guess mine is the FPV cause it the contrast seems better than my 1703fp's.

i had an XPS for almost 2 years. i didn't like it very much. actually yesterday i tore the **** out of it. as soon as it stops snowing i plan on smashing the hell out of it also, because...well there really is no reason other than i hated it.

Well, the new XPS looks pretty cool. I would much rather build my own, but my I get discounts from dell, and I like having a warranty just in case.

mine was the gen 1 model. same as the new ones but a bright blue case. believe me, I honestly don't recomend them.

i recently purchased an 8400 (because of 30% discount) and i like it probably 10x more than i liked the XPS.

Do you have a part number on that lamp? Where did you get it?

Updated a little bit.

Got rid of the unnnecessary monitors and got myself the best 17" LCD money can buy : Dell 1704FP.  Games, movies and everything else looks amazing on this monitor.  Much much better than 1703FP.

I moved the case up onto the desk, and am suffering from its super-loud fan.  Not to worry though, a new dell may be coming soon.  Maybe an XPS?

Did some major wire organizing, although it can still be better.  Moved the desk closer to the wall to make more room for the TV, and moved the lamp to the opposite side.

Notice the custom Mx700 crouching proudly ontop the case.

My camera's batteries are dead. I'll try to get some pics up if I can.

DO NOT attempt to do it yourself, as it is very tedious, takes forever to dry and is not worth the time and effort. If your Mx700's paint is coming off, let it be.

I got my lamp at Ikea for $8.

Thats my Desktop and Laptop

Although i mostly use my laptop all day everyday, I use the desktop for Gaming, Graphics editing ect... once in a while

I dunno, It came with the pc and seems to have all the sockets at the front, Its called as connect XL by medion and when i checked it up on the hardware devices it shows up as a usb mass storage device with no name . Inside the pc its all directly connected to the mobo, soundcard and my graphics card so i m guessing its an integral part of the system design thats buit into it.

Hi guys,

I'm new around here, and I just got my Dell 2405FPW on friday and I'm loving it :)

I'm getting the Logitech Z-5500 speakers very soon to replace my old altec lansing ones you see here. I'm going to mount the 2 front and 2 back speakers to the top corners of the walls so it will be more surround like.

I apologize if the pics are too big, I couldn't locate the rules on posting size :)
