LCD Picture Frame I made out of an old laptop. Took it all apart, built a cheap wood frame, attached the system board to a piece of 1/8" plywood for the backing, 1/8" acrylic for the glass, and mounted to hacked LCD in a piece of foamboard. Turned out OK for what I use it for (just scrolls through pictures like a screensaver). It's actually a functioning laptop but I just use it like a picture frame.

Excellent idea, I have a couple of LCD touch screen Point of Sale machines at work that I have been wondering what I could do with them.

Here we go. I just started unpacking today got here last night and unloaded the truck. My new room and my new desk(s)

Here we have my New desk wich is 2 ikea jerkers put together to make an Lshaped desk. Best desk i have ever had. The ''hutch" is just something my mom got ages ago and put in our old bathroom for towls and stuff. Looks great on the desk.

Random pile of stuff on my bed that needs to go somewhere. The network kit is to wire up my tivo and new moxi box(got it from cable company) onto the network.

Shot of where the tv will go along with my xbox, ps2, tivo, dvd player, and home theater system for my room. All of them are still in there boxes somewhere. I have to get a new tv cabinet for the TV.

Shot of the last corner of my room. and a little bit if my desk.

Ill post new pictures in a day or so when i get the room completly setup and the desk is more "cleaned" off

Looks like you have a lot of work ahead of you. The TV is small I presume? I quoted that part by the way because I have that chair; the most comfortable (and cheapest I would like to add) chair I have ever bought! Bargain!

its a 21 i think..

ha its really bad now.. I need to get something to put it in. I may pick something up tommorow. Im not sure. The sub for my stereo sits on the floor and i have nowhere to put it but in the doorway otherwise it discolors the TV.

and yes that Chair is VERY comfortable. specially during those long nights of gaming.

    • I have not verified if any of the fixes mentioned on the below article actually work. Why Claude Code Eats All Your RAM (And How to Fix It) There are at least four separate things that can eat your RAM, and only one of them is your fault. The Four Culprits 1. Bloated Session Logs (The Silent Killer). For 2-4 and more inluding the suggested fixes, see link https://marceloretana.com/blog...aude-code-eats-all-your-ram
    • One of my PC's is Windows 11 Home Edition... and guess what? it supports Hyper-V Disks and Containers, as well as WSL2... which these desktop tools leverage on an as-needed basis. It does not need to be enabled system-wide; it merely needs to exist. Furthermore, I tried something yesterday with Hermes Desktop and their "installer" actually builds everything from source as part of its installer toolchain! The installer (and updater as it were) both go through a roughly 19-step process to prep the system for the tool to be used -- and connectivity to local/remote models, local/remote agent configs, and other steps are not included as part of this process (those are all user config steps post-install). ALSO, the "bug wasn't confirmed to exist" is the weakest argument against a bug. That's literally every flawed product's knee-jerk reaction! Even politicians, lawmakers, murderers, and other violent criminals start with that defense... "I deny everything I'm accused of." The bug is the (shared) experience. Whether it's truly Claude Code's fault, or user error, or some other software package being the ultimate culprit, is not the point. They are experiencing unpleasant side effects and don't like that.
    • Each generaton has its exciting times and I was fortunate enough to be right there at the beginning of the PC industry.   I don't think any of us at that time realized how large it would become I still remember working on a TRS-80 with a green screen monitor that kept overheating and dying.     Also used some TRS-80 PCs with tape cartridge memory.   They worked but boy were they slow with everything being a very slow sequential read or write.  But heh, they worked though it wasn't long before they were repaced by the HDD.
    • One Drive should be a four letter word. First thing I disable on my computer. If I want to upload something to the cloud, I use a cloud base storage, NOT microsoft. Oh but what about backup. I have done backups since floppy disk eras...it just comes naturally.
    • It does just not OneCloud. 🤷🏻‍♂️
