Chrome takes a little more space than needed... I guess. Delete some folder

Question

Whilst browsing my computer for unneeded files I came across (total size on my disk 1.4 GB):

C:\Users\<name>\AppData\Local\Google\Chrome

Folders dating back in my case to 22.0.1229.79

Can I safely remove these folders - except the latest release - and not run into problems Chrome-wise and more specifically computer-wise?

Just go to settings, and scroll to the bottom to Show Advanced Settings and Delete Browsing data.

I've deleted old folders in there with no problems.
