How many posts did you have / how well known did you become, until you felt comfortable saying "Welcome to Neowin" to new members ?

When I join a new forum, I don't feel like it's my place with only a few posts to welcome new members, I always wait until I've got a few hundred posts at least

Kinda makes me feel like I have been invited to a friend of a friends house, and then take it upon myself to invite my own friends too :p

How about you ?

Wouldn't worry about it mate. You've been here a good few years now and even if you'd only been here a week, it's still polite to welcome people.

I do if I catch the thread before 20 people have already welcomed them, but when I join a new forum I always wait until I've been active for a good while first, I guess when it feels like I am part of the community and not a newbie anymore :)

That's me as well. When I was new here I wouldn't welcome anyone. Now, I feel like it's my place to welcome them.

      Let Apple have its way, as customers will eschew Apple in favor of more open solutions--which is what they should be doing anyway!... I'm not a fan of Apple at all, but when the lawyers in the EUC start dictating to companies how their software should be made, I think the companies should just drop the EU altogether as a market.
