Pupik I get it. We are all in a matrix. So where is our Neo?

We're not in the matrix. That's why those mistakes (disappearing wings, missing shadows and unnatural movement) make no sense.

And that's not even an golden eagle.

http://www.cbc.ca/ne...iral-video.html

"David Bird, a McGill University professor of wildlife biology, doubts the video's authenticity. He said the bird looks more like an osprey than a golden eagle.

"Bald eagles and golden eagles both have fairly broad wings. That bird there has long narrow wings," he said."

I haven't read any link just watched the two vids, its not a doll, dolls don't put their hands down to break their fall.

If you were gonna fake a video, you'd fake it better than a bird picking up a kid for 1 second.

Im calling real for now. However, I haven't seen the site that claims to prove its fake yet.

No dolls. CGI. Notice the movement in the video I posted.

And these weird glitches in the matrix: http://i.imgur.com/kZg5S.jpg

edit: Damn you streetwolf for posting that link seconds earlier than me :)

could be due to compression though, the video quality is bad enough to allow for such artifacts. For example the shadow is moving from a dark area to a lighter one at the moment it dissapears and reappears, that could very well be caused by a block compression. Also the arm of the child seems to be moving upwards to his head just before the drops, which seems to invalidate the opinion that it's a doll as I wouldn't be expecting an upward motion at that moment from a ragdoll.

I don't know if it is fake or real, but the evidence for it being fake is rather thin.

How's your french? Here's an article saying it was made by four students from a 3d animation school in Montreal.

edit: Here's a quick translation by microsoft translator:

A video put online Tuesday to see a baby grab by an eagle in flight on the Mount Royal is a hoax. The music video, seen by nearly 3 million people in just a few hours, is the work of four students in animation 3D NAD school in Montreal.

The work is a work that they had to produce to a course entitled Simulation of production, given by Professor Robin Tremblay. Each year, its students create 'real' filming movies, and they are encouraged to produce clips that have viral potential.

"The video was shown Tuesday. Students have realized that they had hit a circuit rising Wednesday morning, when they found the number of clicks that they had collected on YouTube, says Mr. Tremblay.

Oh, yeah, all eagles are *******s. I've seen that video before, but you'll notice he doesn't go up much once he grabs him. If the video was an eagle knocking a baby off a cliff, I'd totally believe it.

Ahh, I get what you are saying. I took it as eagles don't go after them. Gotcha. ;)

Nice excuse there :) Even when it was zoomed in and full of pixels back in the video that I posted, it was crystal clear that this isn't real.

MORE believable, not believale

still, IDC i think its a good fake and far better than I could do. Atleast it got us all thinking and discussing it.

    • "just $100 per TB"? Just? Are we trying to make this seem like the new normal? Kinda weird to make it sound like that is not a ridiculously expensive asking price.
    • The reviews you refer to mean nothing. Where there is no journalism there is no reason to call the gaming media's opinion pieces "reviews". For GP games there is indeed a metric for success - increasing subscriptions. Which turns in revenue. The only circumstance in which subs do not rise when great is being released is a Game Pass system where the company is close to fully saturated with customers in a subscription. However, in that case as the theory goes you spend aplenty in all kind of games - from shady live service cash cows and customer offending agitprop crap in purple colours to robust and entertaining single player games. And keep a solid level of profitability. Ignoring the simply innocuous but mid games MGS has released primarily of the second kind.
    • Report: Microsoft to use AWS to help GitHub deal with a major surge in demand by Pradeep Viswanathan Thanks to the surge of coding AI agents, GitHub's usage has skyrocketed over the past 12 months. To meet this demand, GitHub started with a plan in October 2025 to increase capacity by 10x. However, by early this year, the company realized that it needed 30x scale. This rapid growth has caused severe strain on the platform's reliability, resulting in several small outages over the past few months. In April, GitHub published a long blog post explaining the steps it is taking to resolve these reliability issues. In the post, the company also confirmed that it is working toward a multi-cloud architecture for better resilience. Today, Business Insider reported that GitHub is turning to Amazon Web Services to help deal with a major surge in AI-driven coding activity. It is important to note that GitHub is still in the process of moving completely to the Azure cloud. The current plan is to move the platform fully to Azure by 2027 so that it can scale better as per developer demand. Therefore, the current decision to utilize AWS might be part of a short-term plan to meet immediate demand. A Microsoft spokesperson confirmed that GitHub is using multiple cloud providers with the following statement: For Microsoft, the decision highlights the operational pressure behind the AI boom. GitHub has to stay reliable for developers at a time when rivals such as Codex, Cursor, Claude Code, and other AI coding tools are gaining attention. And the decision to use AWS for computing capacity seems practical given the circumstances.
