The comparision that this gentleman makes is right on the money. I'm a student of what led up to Hitler's rise to power and this comparison of then and now are startling similar. Those who don't see it have either drank the Kool-Aid or have chosen to stick their heads in the sand and do as those in Europe did during that period, look the other way and ignore it. You better wake up before it is too late my friends.

If the comparison ends with healthcare in Austria then maybe.

I'm a student of what led up to Hitler's rise to power and this comparison of then and now are startling similar.

So you're telling me that the US currently looks like this:

  • Just lost a world war
  • Has to pay ridiculous amounts of war reparations
  • The streets are full of soldiers that still think that they could have won the war, weren't they stabbed in the back by communists, Jews and democrats (Dolchsto?legende)
  • There is no believe in democracy
  • Several fanatic groups want to take control of the country by force

Somehow I doubt that anyone here really understands how and why Hitler got Reichskanzler...

Wow this guy really is pulling at strings here. Australia has had gun control regulations for over a decade and our leader of the time didn't turn out to be Hitler 2.0. What I also find completely ironic is that this guy is clearly republican, yet no mention of the Patriot Act, which was introduced by a Republican government to lock away anyone they don't like. Now that sounds like Nazi Germany. These other comparisons are so weak compared to that one that they don't even deserve to be mentioned.

Disclaimer: I don't necessarily support Obama, or even follow American politics. This guy is an idiot though.

wow..learn to read.

Learn to backup claims, the entire basis for this is based on the word of "Dr. James Garrow" by way of an anonymous source. The thing is, this so called Dr. goes by "Dr." because he got an "honorary doctorate in theology from a school in North Carolina". An honorary doctorate is nothing more then a academic recognition granted by a university without completion of the normal requirements for that degree, he isn't a real Dr. but that sure doesn't stop him from using that title. More fitting of someone looking for credibility while not actually having any. So when this guy is quoted as saying...

I have just been informed by a former senior military leader that Obama is using a new ?litmus test? in determining who will stay and who must go in his military leaders. Get ready to explode folks. ?The new litmus test of leadership in the military is if they will fire on US citizens or not.? Those who will not are being removed.

Then you need to ask, who is this source, good question lets see his reply.

So, who is the source?

Garrow replied: ?The man who told me this is one of America?s foremost military heroes.?

So basically even the author couldn't get supporting evidence to said claim. This guy who created the video, which is based on the works of the examiner.com blog, that's right examiner.com is just a glorified blog site, just repeats this info while also not providing a shred of evidence to support this continued claim.

Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence

just so you know, American's , the world is laughing at you again . When you elected Obama we thought you'd grown up, guess not .... sad really

Well then, tell your King or Queen and or PM to send back every red cent of Foreign Aid that your country has received from The USA!

You know how paranoid that sounds?

Coming to power a certain way is not illegal. I suspect if you comb the history books you will find many leaders that came to power that way. It's what they do with that power that's important.

Four years from now we'll be saying the same things about our next leader.

And for the record, I voted for Romney.

First off Obama didn't "come to power" by taking away guns, he hasn't done that at all. Second slogans are a common practice among those striving for the top position. So to say because Hitler also had a slogan and therefore that's somehow a reason to equate similarities to Obama or anyone else for that matter is out right retarded. Another similarity is they both had moms and went to school and ate food.

Couple things... Pretty sure I said you could probably compare Hitler to about anybody and find similarities.... I never said Obama came to power illegally, or without guns. I'm pretty sure hitler came to power, and then took away guns (but like I said I'm not a history expert and I don't worry all that much about it so it isn't worth my time to look it up), which is the same Obama and Democrats want to do. The amont of slogans, and specifically the "Forward" slogan which has a lot of history seems a little odd to me but I'm not freaking out about it.

Well then, tell your King or Queen and or PM to send back every red cent of Foreign Aid that your country has received from The USA!

ahahahahahahaha , this one made me laugh ... now I could be wrong but as far as I'm aware Ireland hasn't received foreign aid from the US

here is an excerpt about those who give aid though ... Ireland being ranked an No.1 coincidently with the US at No.2

America Is the Most Generous Country in the World if You Include Private Donations to Charities.

No. Americans certainly rise to the occasion in times of crisis, as the outpouring of charitable giving to tsunami victims demonstrated. According to U.S. government figures, private donations to low-income countries through American churches, charities, foundations, nongovernmental organizations, and college scholarships was at least $6.3 billion in 2003. And such data almost certainly understate the actual amount of private aid. Some organizations do not respond to the government survey used to collect the data, and some important forms of contribution are omitted, such as volunteer time. Alternative estimates vary, with the upper-end figure (including gifts to more developed countries such as Israel and Russia) at $17.1 billion for 2000. By this estimation, private charitable donations per American total $58 per yearor about 0.16 percent of U.S. incomeranking the United States second among major donors in private giving (the first is Ireland at 0.22 percent).

(from here ... http://www.foreignpo..._us_foreign_aid)

Here is another article about US foreign aid and how they are the worst for expecting it back...

[Americans] are regularly told by politicians and the media, that America is the world's most generous nation. This is one of the most conventional pieces of 'knowledgeable ignorance'. According to the OECD, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development, the US gave between $6 and $15 billion in foreign aid in the period between 1995 and 1999. In absolute terms, Japan gives more than the US, between $9 and $15 billion in the same period. But the absolute figures are less significant than the proportion of gross domestic product (GDP, or national wealth) that a country devotes to foreign aid. On that league table, the US ranks twenty-second of the 22 most developed nations. As former President Jimmy Carter commented: 'We are the stingiest nation of all'. Denmark is top of the table, giving 1.01% of GDP, while the US manages just 0.1%. The United Nations has long established the target of 0.7% GDP for development assistance, although only four countries actually achieve this: Denmark, 1.01%; Norway, 0.91%; the Netherlands, 0.79%; Sweden, 0.7%. Apart from being the least generous nation, the US is highly selective in who receives its aid. Over 50% of its aid budget is spent on middle-income countries in the Middle East, with Israel being the recipient of the largest single share.?

"Why Do People Hate America?" by Ziauddin Sardar and Merryl Wyn Davies (2002)

Not only that, but according to one source cited by Sarder & Davies, 80% of that aid itself actually goes to American companies in those foreign countries.

and

? The most generous countries are also the ones that do not tend to tie aid to their own products and services. The stingiest countries also, almost spitefully and nastily, force countries to buy their own services and products with the aid they give; which reduces free trade and commerce and harms the country's economy, as well as being simply selfish and conceited. Thankfully, many countries do not tie their aid. Countries that tie less than 10% of aid include Ireland, Norway and the UK, then Belgium, Finland, Switzerland and Sweden. The USA is the worst, and ties nearly 90% of its aid to developing countries. Italy is the second worst with 70%. The two worst countries for this obnoxious practice in aid-giving are also the two countries out of the most developed countries, who give least generously!

and another article about International response to Hurricane Katrina

Republic of Ireland: Offered to send 30 members of the Irish Defence Forces. The Irish army would have supplied thousands of ready meals, tents, blankets, water purification services and medical aid, including first aid kits, crutches and wheelchairs. The group would have included about ten experts in stress debriefing. Six of the troops would have operated two water purification plants. The Irish Government also announced it is to provide initial funding of EUR 1.2 million for the victims.

I know it's off topic but I just thought that comment was very funny.... Oh and it's Taoiseach (not King, Queen or PM) :p

You must be thinking of the Whack Job in North Korea Kim Jong Un who wants to practice shooting off long range rockets with warheads like he was shooting off bottle rockets in his back yard.

First off in what way does "Forward" seem odd? Second, not only are there are lot of pro-gun democrats, I happen to be one of them, so try not to generalize about an entire group but Obama hasn't tried to take your guns away.

The OP is just very frustrated with the President apparently doing all kinds of things contrary to the Constitution by using Executive Orders. As a lawyer, familiar with constitutional law, the current President should know better. And the current congress should be calling him out on it. Before anyone brings up the previous administration, I concede that this kind of thing started long ago with other Presidents, but the one holding that Office now can put a stop to it any time he wants to.

I would venture that if he did a turnaround and upheld the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, he'd have a much easier time with his social agenda. He'd probably get support from both ends of the political spectrum.

When you say started long ago with other Presidents, you mean all the way be to the days of George Washington who issued the first executive order.

Well then, tell your King or Queen and or PM to send back every red cent of Foreign Aid that your country has received from The USA!

Speaking of "red cents" are you aware just how much your country has received from China, yes..China, the communists, OH MY GOD!!

You aren't going to like these links I provide you with, so I'm not sure why I bother. You miss the facts that are in them, just see that it's anti-Obama and throw it out, disregarding any truth that is in them if you would read the article. A Socialist did write a book named "Forward", and Hitler had a song about "Forward"

I understand that are Pro-Gun Democrats just like there are Pro-Life democrats. But like I do with a lot of things, if the Majority are anti-gun, anti-abortion then I throw them all in one group. It's easier that way.

Ah so depending on who's view you throw up about Obama's slogan Forward, it goes to show he is a fascist/marxists/communist/socialist man. While ignoring Hitler was also against communism. That also means Wisconsin is also in line with said thinking given their state motto is also "Forward". Also lets not forget the Jewish daily "Forward", those silly Jews for Hitler using his slogan.

Yes generalizing can be easier, but it's childish and lazy too.

Lastly lets not ignore other striking similarities Obama and Hitler had.
