Story aside, some of the gameplay elements weren't that interesting, though.

When I started playing it, I was amazed at how well it captured the atmosphere in the first film, and that sucked me in and made me tolerate the QTE-heavy gameplay. It's no secret that my mixed feelings about the original Jurassic Park come from my hate of the child characters, so another great thing for me was the girl character, which I liked overall. And, in the game, if someone got annoying, you could let them have a couple of satisfyingly gruesome deaths, and that, takes the game above anything in the series so far (except the books).

And yeah, the story was great even if the troodons got a little long in the tooth.

Well, since I started reading from Thread #1.

Raptors have been trained to remove threat (and looks like Chris Pratt has been monitoring their behavior and was able to tame them). Raptors are going for the D-Rex.

D-Rex was still in the cage under caumoflage, he was darn intelligent to get those humans fooled.

T-Rex might be under a special cage where until needed, be freed and looks like it was not tamed, and really angry.

The kids, I hope I won't see them. They are always the star of the movie since JP1.

Jurassic World won't be the JP4, but will be the second triology of Jurassic Park. So looks like we'll be having another JW2 and JW3, and there might be cameo appearance of Grant and Malcolm.

The kids, I hope I won't see them. They are always the star of the movie since JP1.

Which kids? Just to clarify, are you meaning kids in general or specifically the kids from JP? If the former, they will be. The opening to the trailer starts off with two kids going to the island, you see them throughout the trailer too. So they will be ever-present throughout the film, I'm sure of it.

If you meant the latter, they were only in the second one for a few minutes in the beginning and never appeared in the third film.

So, here is the trailer for the latest movie in the Jurassic Park franchise (it was released a few days ago)....watch it & share your opinions/theories  :D

Jurassic World Director and Official Site Reveal More Details

Earlier this week, Universal Pictures and Legendary Pictures debuted the first trailer for Jurassic World and though it gave us a good idea of what to expect from the film, it also raised some interesting questions, such as: Why make a brand new dinosaur? How many sharks does a Mosasaurus eat in a day? Has Chris Pratt trained the Velociraptors to be his buddies? Where is the iconic Tyrannosaurus Rex?

Speaking with Empire, director Colin Trevorrow elaborated on the film and the trailer and answered many of these questions and more! Read on for the details.

?This new creation is what gave me a reason to tell another Jurassic Park story. We have the most awe-inspiring creatures to ever walk the Earth right in front of us, but for some reason that?s not enough. We?re always hungry for the next thing, and those who profit from it are always looking to feed that hunger. The focus groups want something bigger than a T-Rex. And that?s what they get.?

Trevorrow went on to talk about the Mosasaurus, which he says came out of a pitch meeting with producers Steven Spielberg and Frank Marshall who hadn?t considered an aquatic dinosaur.

?I thought it would be cool if we had this massive animal and the park used one of our most fearsome modern predators as food. There could be a whole other facility where they used shark DNA to mass-produce them to feed the bigger beast. It?s a bonkers idea, but I?m comfortable going to Crazytown, because I used to live there when I was a kid.?

The final shots of the trailer suggest that Chris Pratt?s character, Owen, has trained the Velociraptors of Jurassic World into helping him hunt whatever dinosaur was ?cooked up in the lab,? but Trevorrow says it?s more complicated than that.

?Owen?s relationship with the raptors is complicated. They aren?t friends. These animals are nasty and dangerous and they?ll bite your head off if you make the wrong move. But there are men and women out there today who have forged tenuous connections with dangerous predators. That?s interesting territory to me.?

Finally, Trevorrow was asked if we?ll be seeing the iconic T-Rex in the film, to which he replied: ?You bet your ass you will.? Hold on to your butts.

In addition to Trevorrow?s interview, the official site for Jurassic World has been updated since the trailer?s launch to include new details about the actual park, including wait times for the attractions, photos of the main street/gift shop/petting zoo, a guided video of Isla Nublar?s own Hilton, and more that will be unlocked as we get closer to the film?s release. Fans will also notice a number of major and obscure references to the original Jurassic Park hidden within the site, such as the restaurant Winston?s (named for effects maestro Stan Winston, who developed the animatronics for the series) of which the top item on the menu is the Chilean Sea Bass (the same meal the group ate before venturing onto the tour in the original film). Plus, there?s a meet-and-greet with the venerable Mr. DNA! Go exploring on the official site by clicking here.

Jurassic World will debut in 2D, 3D, and IMAX theaters on June 12, 2015.

What these people fail to realize is that these creatures aren't really dinosaurs, they have always essentially been science experiments made to look like Dinosaurs.

I they missed the bigger picture that this is a film and not a documentary. They're allowed to be a little creative.

From the trailer, the movie just looks uninspired. Nothing really there that makes me interested in seeing the movie, either story wise or in terms of shots.

And I really find the costume and casting choices strange. Chris Pratt just feels goofy as a casting choice for behavioral researcher and looks goofy in that outfit. He looks like a model for an adventure wear clothing company, pretending to be a scientist. The makeup and fashion for that woman is weird.

Thinking about it.. do you guys think JP1 Rex will be the ultimate hero at the end to save everyone at the end? I think it would be a interesting ending with the T-Rex and D-Rex finshing each other off.

    • Microsoft finally admits its default Windows 11 25H2, 24H2 action broke key legacy component by Sayan Sen Microsoft last week released Windows 11 KB5094126 and KB5093998 as the latest Patch Tuesday updates. Following that the company also published the accompanying dynamic updates under KB5094149, KB5095971, and KB5094156. So far the company has acknowledged two known issues that have popped up after the release which include bugged-out Office apps as well as the Recycle Bin; though there could be more at play too. Speaking of bugs and issues, Microsoft seems to have finally acknowledged a problem that probably has been around for close to a year. That's because back in July of 2025 the company made a default change to the latest Windows 11 versions, wherein it switched to JScript9Legacy on Windows 11 24H2 and later releases. Hence following the release of version 25H2 in October 2025, JScript9Legacy also remained default-enabled. As a result there has been a compatibility issue ever since then. For those wondering, by switching to JScript9Legacy Microsoft intended to improve the security of modern Windows PCs by reducing vulnerabilities tied to legacy scripting like cross-site scripting (XSS), among others. XSS exploits can allow cyber-attackers to attach malicious code onto legitimate websites and use them to execute the code when a potential victim loads such a website. Hence the new JScript9Legacy engine enforced stricter execution policies and improved object handling, which should help mitigate such attacks. Microsoft today has published a new support article detailing the problem. Neowin spotted it while browsing. The company says that JScript global definitions and execution context may fail to persist across scripts, potentially breaking older dependent apps and web-based components that relied on this legacy behavior. In the article Microsoft has confirmed that the issue stems from its move away from the older jscript9.dll engine in favor of jscript9legacy.dll. As mentioned above, while the newer engine was designed to address vulnerabilities and strengthen security it also changes how JScript handles execution context. As a result functions and definitions loaded by one script could no longer remain available to subsequent scripts once execution ended. The company notes that some applications worked correctly on earlier Windows versions because the older JScript engine automatically retained global definitions and execution state between scripts. Under the newer model though that behavior is disabled by default causing certain legacy workloads and polyfill-dependent scripts to fail. Microsoft says it addressed the problem via the KB5077241 update though the fix had not been enabled automatically in the following updates. As such admins must explicitly turn on persistent JScript execution context using a Registry setting that the tech giant shared today. The configuration can be applied to individual processes or system-wide through the FEATURE_ENABLE_PERSISTENCE registry key. The steps have been outlined below: Run the following command to create the feature control registry key: reg add "HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\FeatureControl\FEATURE_ENABLE_PERSISTENCE" Under this key, create a new DWORD (32-bit) value. Configure the value as follows: To enable persistence for specific processes only: Set the value to 1 for each target process name. To enable persistence for all processes: Add * as the key name and set its value to 1. You can find the official support article here on Microsoft's website.
