TheLegendOfMart is known for saying that he supports limited rights for guns and the going on to say that people, such as the criminal in this case, shouldn't have been allowed to own a gun. The laws required to have prevented this guy from owning a gun would mean nobody is legally allowed to own a gun which goes against what even the law in England allows for as well as what TheLegendOfMart claims he supports. TheLegendOfMart contradicts himself with his own arguments.

Funny how you think you know me, I have said SEVERAL times that I would prefer if all guns were banned, I do support highly restricted access to them in the first option isn't feasible, we have special cases for people that NEED them such as pest control, army, etc.. self defence isn't a valid reason to own a gun in a place where 99% of people don't have access to one.

Doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand.

Um, are you serious? The motto of police everywhere in this country is "To serve and protect". What "laws" are you referencing?

United State Supreme Court ruled that the police's job is not to protect any individual. No American has the right to police protection in any circumstance. This is what the Supreme Court had to say about it: "You, and only you, are responsible for your security and the security of your family and loved ones."

That's non-sense.

Non sense you say. So then explain to me how the Police stopped this shooting, Columbine, The one in Connecticut, The one at the theater or any other murder? I, as am ex police office can stand by this statement. If Police prevented crime, then there would be no need for prisons. Police respond after a crime is permitted. Sure a beat cop may prevent some shoplifting or some other minor offense but Murder-No way.

100% of Americans have access to guns, even if you ban them. 100% of Europeans have access to weapons, even with the bans. Fact of reality. Just because you ignore that you can make a gun very easily doesn't make it true. Just because you say it over and over doesn't make it true. Use facts when debating on the internet. Makes you look less ignorant.

Seems like the guy was messed up a little. And the people who got shot....well, sucks but why the hell would they let a dog **** and **** on the balcony? That is gross and really not a good environment for the kids....let alone the dog which obviously wasnt properly taken care of.

Why when I lived in apartments I never addressed issues with my neighbor myself. Thats what the management staff is for. I had one guy upstairs from me knock on my door once at 2am (I banged on the ceiling since they were making a lot of noise) I didnt open the door since I didnt know the guy and it was 2am.

Out of curiosity, do you have a link to that?

thanks. So the cops do not have a constitutional obligation to protect. But really if their motto is to serve and protect, they should either do what it says or change the motto. But the way these people were killed...calling the cops wouldnt of helped. The cops wouldnt of gotten there in time.

I had similar issue with one guy who used to walk his dogs by my house and let them **** on my lawn w/o removing it. When I confronted him, he always said it wasn't his dogs. So one morning I put pepper powder around my front lawn, and watched the show ahahah :) ... Didn't see him doing that anymore. Now he walks his dogs on the other side of my house.

We have a nut job living next store that lets his dogs run wild and poop all over everyone's yard. He has been told next time it will be by the Police.

^ The guy should have used some sense, and shot the dog.

Better yet, shot the poop

Seriously tho, for as cruel as this may sound, more would've been accomplished if he had simply shot the animal

then show records for his ongoing ordeal and defend himself, than to justify murder

Makes me laugh how you always have some ridiculous answer to everything and you say it like you have won the argument, I can probably count on one hand the percentage of people who actually know and have the skills to make a gun. It doesn't change the FACT that gun control DOES work, Americans are too selfish to put it into practice.

Same problem but in a college town thats a bit of the norm. My management staff dealt with it. However, seems that in this case they didn't do their job.

Police WILL protect you, but they are a finite resource. They can't be everywhere at once. It's up to you to truly protect yourself and your assets.

When I first read the title, I thought thats what he did and I was appalled, until I found out he just shot some people.

Still ignoring history are we? Every single time there was bans in the US, violent crimes involving guns shot up against national averages which continue to fall. Nice try. Don't let the facts hit you on the way out...actually...do. Maybe then you will come here with truth and not lies.

You limit guns or try to control them, like anything else, people will want it that much more and will find a way to get it. Just like the drug war on the Mexico boarder.

Take your America bashing to some other place.

If 11,000 gun homicides a year is working, I'd hate to see what not working is.

Pro-gunners bash the UK just because we dare to speak up against the almighty home of the brave, land of the free, OH SAY CAN YOU SEEEEEEEEEEEEEE........

The police cannot possibility be everywhere. This is not a police state.

So you are saying you want more gun homicides and to you that increase in gun homicides is justified because at least then law abiding citizens don't have guns? That makes sense in... well.. nowhere. Stop drinking the cool-aid.

Show me some UK bashing threads? Preferable try to stay on topic.

    • I'm not unblocking my camera for this crapola. Sorry, Google.
    • Ummmm that is what is it supposed to do. Just turn if off in settings if you do not want it analyzing your open tabs. Chrome does the same thing with Gemini. Sarfari will do the samething after Apple's AI and even more so with the release of their 27 versions that is now powered by Googles LLM/ML models. Understanding why it is doing it and how it can help you vs jumping to some conspiracy theroy is a much better approach. As long as it can be turned off, all is good. Yes the default should be off but the a lot of people would never discover these features.
    • Just another reason (aside from many others) not to use Edge. Firefox 153.0b5 DEx64 has a similar feature added recently in prior builds that I will turn off at some point when I get around to it. It's the new "Something looks suspicious" page that pops up here and there. It cleverly hides itself between web pages that I've actually visited; as a result, you know, of selecting a web page and telling the browser where to go. The interesting thing is that it does not produce these warnings from pages that I, as the only intelligent user of the browser in my system, have ever directed the browser to open! What seems to be happening is that the browser looks at all the goofy ad links on a web page I do actually open and selects one that "looks suspicious" and then creates the "something looks suspicious" web page, which is neatly inserted, as mentioned, between web pages my RB ("real brain") has directed the browser to load in a session. The thing is, I usually look at links I am considering to follow before I ask the browser to load them, and in cases I have noticed where the link does indeed look suspicious, most of the time I will choose to not follow the link at all. Doesn't everyone do this or something similar? I am picky about what I voluntarily load... (I don't like links that start off fine, with a site designaiton that seems normal enough but then is followed by indecipherable alphanumeric strings many, many lines long, etc. I tend to reject those because they look suspicious. They may not be, but I don't care... I'll stay with Firefox, of course, if for no other reason than they usually let you turn off the junk you don't like. And because it isn't Edge... But at some point Microsoft will come to realize that putting your bookmarks on the left side is a Good Thing for a lot of people, just as Microsoft discovered when it had the bright idea of nailing the Windows taskbar to the bottom of the screen, when for decades Microsoft browsers had left that placement up to the user. They have finally reversed the obscenity of that decision. Finally.
    • Google was using the old CATPCHAs data to train their LLMs. What is the say they won't use this camera data of users to train their LLM? these companies need some strict regulations!
