BOSTON, Feb. 5 (UPI) -- Emergency responders in Boston said a construction worker who fell 30 feet was spared serious injury when he landed on bubble wrap.

A spokesman for the Boston Fire Department said the 38-year-old worker fell 30 feet off a building and landed in a pile of bubble wrap taken from the construction site's scaffolding, WCVB-TV, Boston, reported Tuesday.

The spokesman said the worker became lodged in the bubble wrap and needed to be cut free.

The man suffered back and shoulder injuries from the fall, but the injuries were not considered serious, the spokesman said.

Mythbusters tested how much Bubble Wrap you would need to fall about the height of a building and not die / suffer bad injuries and in the end Adam had to be wrapped in the equivalent of about 4 double mattresses to be dropped only about 6-8ft and still hurt his head

That was tested after someone sent in a video (Obviously shopped) of a guy wrapped in about 10 turns of bubble wrap and jumped off a roof landing fine on the floor

Yeah but in MythBuster he was wrapped in bubble wrap. So he had to suffer the weight of the bubble wrap as well as the fall on the ground.

In this case the guy landed on a pile of bubble wrap. This is different.

You can jump from really high and not hurt yourself too much by jumping on piled empty cardboard boxes.

Pity it wasnt on caught on CCTV as someone could shout............ thats a wrap! :ike:

Hey maybe he could star in an advert like that guy who gets wallpaper pasted to a wall then lifted up in the air.

    • The site is pretty sparse on features / tech specs. Can I plug it into a PC/hone/Switch via USB-C and use it as an external display? If so, what's the virtual resolution of the screen, the refresh rate, PPI of the image etc? Is the text crisp enough to use for coding at say 12pt? Is it good enough for playing dark games, like say Path of Exile 2? How about fast games like car racing games? Just how do they expect anyone to order this thing without giving out all this info?
