FREE 354 day Bitdefender Internet Security 2013!

Recommended Posts

I don't run anything else and my system is clean. MSE just works. I ran BitDefender. Eset and Kaspersky before and something has always found it's way through. ClamWin AV is much better, or used to be, then Eset and other paid AVs also. If MSE wasn't around, I would be using ClamWin.

I don't care what those reviews say. I use what works and MSE does the job.

It does the job yes but it sort of throws lot of false positive lastly. I think i got 2 or 3 false positive by MSE in the last 6 months while browsing totally clean and safe web site.

I used Bitdefender back in the days when it was not expensive. Was an awesome AV. It's free for 2 years so gonna use it again.

I got one false positive since I started using it.

Yeah, I just excluded various folders with MSE but was shocked when I couldn't ignore things that were caught but were false positives with Bitdefender Free. But, I have heard good reviews so I'm excited to try this out.

I think you need to turn auto pilot off and put the av in user mode to be able to ignore alert. Not sure though.

I disabled the anti-phising/privacy parts and had to put it in user mode to disable the warnings about it being disabled, so that might be the case.

Thanks torrentthief, for the heads up and the key. BD AV+ 2013 for 676 days. Thanks again!

I am finding it interesting lately that a lot of Antivirus vendors are giving away 1 year licenses or sometimes less. I have a half year right now with Panda Antavirus Cloud Pro that I got free and then Advanced System Care Ultimate Which expires in November of this year that I got through them which also happens to have an Antivirus. (Double protection I know), but not noticing any slow speeds on my end as a result. :)

How did you get 676 days? Both keys register just a year for me.

Whoops!! I didn't notice I was in the other thread.... sorry. I am using the key from that thread, but I noticed just now that the program says 2013, but the dashboard says the 676 days is for 2012, so I'm not sure I have the whole 676 days the program says I do. The about box says - Virus Signature - 8714338, and Engine Version 7.45284.

EDIT: It's not showing a device associated with the account.. not sure why because it was earlier.

EDIT #2: Device is showing up now, but the key is showing version 2012 for 676 days.. :iiam:

Just a reminder its the first link to Internet Security NOT the second softpedia link as this is the basic antivirus package and it will gripe about it being the wrong type of key.

Note: The other thread mentioned is for the basic Antivirus this thread is for the Internet security package

I sent you a spare I have it should work as long as you register it before the 24th

Thank you, I'll try it later!

It might be because I registered it with Bitdefender Windows 8 Security.

Damn. Did they kill it? I can't check my brother's laptop at the moment.

Looks like it.

Personally i was suspicious. Usually if it is not on the web site it means it's reserved to the people who got the mail. That's why when it was posted i asked to the op if he had the right to share it. I might be wrong might just be a mistake from the company or a problem with the keys validation server but all my licenses right now are shown as invalid and i can't really say i'm surprised that much.

I checked my product list in the dashboard (MyBitdefender) and it says there's 358 days left. I'm about to check my brother's laptop to see if the program says it's invalid.

EDIT: It looks like it's still valid on my brother's laptop. I was able to update it without any issues.

Mine show valid also at MyBitDefender. Definitely something odd. I'm not really surprised about the FREE thing. Several other "middle-tier" vendors have done it before.

    • Does anyone here know if these updates are integrated into the UUP dump isos?

    • NVIDIA officially supports Ubuntu, as linked above with the GeForce NOW Hands on I did in collaboration with Paul Hill.
    • TO be clear I am not running linux today, however I keep thinking about it. And I want to make sure there are minimal obstacles if I decide to make that switch in the coming months.
    • Yes, I actually glossed over the Linux part from the OP. You could always go for a 9070 XT and if you really want to play Ray Traced games in the future, GeForce Now is pretty damn good on Linux https://www.neowin.net/news/nvidias-native-geforce-now-app-for-linux-bridges-the-gaming-gap-hands-on/
