The last point still stands though. There isn't a problem with horse meat, there is a problem with pretending that horse meat is beef as it doesn't get submitted for proper inspections.

sure nothing is wrong with eating horse meat im sure its not much different than venison, but it should only be sold if it is inspected and held to the same standards as beef. If you own a horse and decide to slaughter it, that's your choice, but don't try to sell it to anyone.

Nothing wrong with horse meat. The problem I see is purchasing "beef" then finding out it's something else. Next time it could end up being long pig(human flesh).
