I discovered something that does something pretty similar to this, but much simpler, I have a desktop setup with bb4win as my default shell and it takes up so little ram while I still have the functinality of navigating around my computer while a game is minimized.

i benchmarked my computer to see differences using 3dmark01

It shuts down some of the connection services, but you can remove that from the .bat file, no big deal, I do it. As for viruses, you seem paranoid. I think you will be ok when you are playing games.
