What has been the best double album ever?

The Wall? Electric Ladyland? Exile On Main St? Physical Graffiti? The White Album?

I don't really get this. Those are the choices, and what makes them special?

Almost seems like this is implying that they're the only groups that have done a double album.

Or do you actually mean double album as in records?

Not sure if records are even made at all anymore, a lot of bands I listen to put out double and triple CDs out almost every year.

I don't listen to or like any of them, so I didn't vote.

Of those? The Wall.

It's a bit strange though, many of them fit on one CD (London Calling being a big one). The double / triple CD is much harder to pull off.

As always, it comes down to tastes.

Of those listed I would choose The Wall but there are other choices for everyone. Personally, I would add Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness which is one of my favorites. The Wall is an awesome album and one that has passed the test of time.

The only one of those I actually own is Tusk by Fleetwood Mac , but I wouldn't vote for it!

I'd put down Tales of Topographic Oceans' by Yes if I had to ... worth a mention anyway.
