dbazile
AOL has plans to buy RedHat, reported @ Slashdot Lots of speculation on whether this is a good thing or not. I personally dont like AOL, but they can actually do some good with this, for example... Possible Pros: -AOL can help bring a new level of aesthetics & user-friendliness to Possible Cons: -AOL might just be interested in using RedHat as a pawn to play against Microsoft, like Netscape. Definite Cons: -RedHat has a focus on enterprise-level machines and not really joe user. What business do you know of hosts their website on a box that uses AOL as an ISP? neowin_hipster
AOL can't get anything right. Linux is a fast moving and updated daily. Every company that AOL takes over takes too long to update and come out with new software. How long has Winamp 3 been in the works??? ICQ needs a kick in the pants too.
