Always good to have an absolute, last ditch guide like this but heartache and despair such as this can be avoided by backing up regularly!

 

I incessantly harass everyone I know to make backups of their most cherished data. And for a few close relatives I keep back ups of their important photos and videos (weddings, Christenings, etc.)

I should probably start charging for that  :shiftyninja:
