I think Microsoft were serious about making a surface phone,BUT then the nokia deal happened,so they backed off. I think if that nokia deal didn't happen,there would be surface phone.

Yeah because you can't be fit without BT 4 and some overpriced gadgets.....

Also... why Surface Phone? and not just Windows Phone 8? The Surface metaphor is for tablets.
