DivX FPS question

Question

Hey,

I'm sure this has been asked before, but...

I have an old K6-2 333Mhz, and playing back high quality DivX encoded media doesn't always achieve the optimal framerate, thus resulting in an audio desync. I was wondering if there is any way (or software) that would allow me to skip frames in order to maintain audio/video sync.

Thanks.

First off you'll have to give more detail than that. What's your video card and sound card?

I got a Pentium II 350MHz with a GeForce2 MX200 64MB and a Sound Blaster Live! Value, and all my DivX plays perfectly.

well, if it's been asked before, search the board.

your computer is too slow to play divx full quality, especialy higher resolution movies.

also movie that you d/led might be desynced.

OK, thanks, but that was not my question. I am fully aware my systems specs are way below the minimum req's.

I was asking, whether there is some way to force the DivX codec to skip frames in order to maintain audio/video sync.
