My connection uses MER as well but I managed fine?

Mine refuses to work :(

I've done it many times before when everything was PPOA but now it just doesn't work :(

For some reason Sky are currently switching people BACK to PPOA. MAYBE they are preparing to allow people to use their own routers (one can hope).

My experience of bskyb broadband isn't good.

When I moved here around 5 years ago, I got a 1.2mbs-1 connection.

It was 8.0mbs-1 where I lived before.

Then 1 year later it halved to 600kbs-1.

Then a further year it went down to 260kbs-1 and the worst case 64kbs-1.

I then moved to B.T. on dsl got 3mbs-1 straight away, now on fibre optics, I get upto 40mbs-1 usually 35mbs-1 though have reached 55mbs-1 at some points.

I really cannot trust this service from bskyb then them charging their customers 5 pence per minute to speak to bskyb customer services a pain.

I once spent 8 hours one day trying to sort out broadband problems, they did after I threatened them with closing y t.v. package also got a refund.

I am sure not everyone have had my problem it's a bit like being once an AOL customer, I only had one problem with them, which they did sort out, however, other people

would just whine and mock them.
